I think his observation is astute tbh.

I know ALL of my friends here are furious over Republicans trying to force their extreme Christianity ideologies on women… and I’m talking about educated women who are raising children and holding down careers and own property, etc.

As it pertains to abortion, there may be some truth to that. I don't think that the average California voter was focused on the domestic violence allegations against him though. It was about the GOP power grab.

Translated: "See what we did in Texas? Well we're gonna do that to you if we take over California."

Yes, that is how it was perceived for some. More importantly, see what is happening with Covid over there, we can do that for you too.

Are you referring to rising Covid rates in Texas?

Yes, Texas and Florida were/are in the midst of huge surges. Elder said if he won, he was eliminating any Covid mandates.

He knew he might have a chance if he said that…. but we are too large a state with heavy tourism to have no mandates. Sorry, not sorry for pointing out the painfully obvious.

Larry Elder made an impression as a mean Republican rather than one with a Kinder gentler persona like Ronald Reagan. Reagan understood that to win his party had to appeal to the American voter. The present crop of Republicans could learn from him.

Reagan put the force of his administration behind "amnesty". There is no way the GOP of today would elect anyone like Reagan today.
Sorry bitch, but that was a deal he made with you people in good faith. Of course your side didnt hold up your end of the bargan cause you've always been liars. It was one of Reagans biggest regrets....trusting democRATs at their word.

There is no way that the stem of immigration will end until your party agrees to sanctioning employers. No jobs, no illegals.
Maybe this is a very narrow thing we might agree on, probably for different reasons. I would shut businesses down that employ illegals. However, the fact remains that democrats didnt hold up their end of the bargain with Reagan.

Nothing they could have done would stop the flow. Desperate people are going to do desperate things. Employers should be fined, prosecuted, etc. However, the Chamber of Commerce GOPers were having none of it, along with major agricultural & meat packing industries, hospitality industry and construction.

Cheap labor is too attractive.
Well, if that were the entirety, the GOP doesnt run things in Cali whatsoever now so democRATs should have been able to fix the problem long ago.

Illegal immigration policy falls under federal jurisdiction, not the states or territories. K street will not allow for the sanctioning of employers.
LMFAO! You disingenuine lying gutter slut. Is that why cali has all those sanctuary cities? Is that why you people screamed "RAYCIS" at the top of your lungs over immigration reform? PWN3D!

Have we been able to locate a Gavin Newsom policy that has impacted Californian's in a positive way?

Covid-19
Yeah, 67,100 deaths at the expense of billions in lost small business revenue
Fantastic accomplishment :ThumbsUp1:

There are 32 states that have a higher death rates that California

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!
whataboutism

Denial.

You asked what was one good policy that Newsom was responsible for. I pointed it out. You questioned it and I came back with facts.

He's done better than 32 other governors on Covid. That is a fact that is indisputable.
California has the most deaths despite the most draconian business killing COVID measures. If you want to call that an accomplishment be my guest

because we have the most people in our state in the entire nation… that might have something to do with it

See, why I push back at ignorance and people call me mean? I'm not mean, I'm irritated at the ignorance coupled with arrogance.
You're irritated becaue you are too fucking stupid to support your bullshit claims and you happen to be speaking to someone who is vastly more intelligent than you are. Far more successful too

:LOL3:

Now we're going to start the ad hom attacks and macho bravado about being superior. HOO HOO, that train is always on time.
I am superior. that's just a fact dear

Don't take it personally

That's super funny, because you're being mauled.
Mauled? By someone who cannot think of a single positive policy her governor has implemented and thinks humans can just transport across countries instantaneously :LOL3:

These are people whose egos are so huge they will destroy the whole country so they can feel "smarter" than people who know their policies are shit.
Did you see where Oak claimed we should simply vaporize all jobs held by illegals and the very next day they will transport right back to Mexico like nothing happened?

that was hysterical
Illegals get cash payments from Illinois along with food stamps, free medical, and a drivers license. Why would they ever leave here with or without a job? Surely this isnt happening in California, right? :LOL3:

most of the negative outrage is based on the statewide shutdown… no one wanted LA to close… can you blame them?

No, I'm sick and tired of the lockdown too. I blame the unvaccinated though. Get your fucking jabs so we can all go back to normal. Are some people going to die? Yes, I suppose some will. But fewer will die from the jab than the virus.

That is just the truth.

Why do you blame the unvaccinated? The shot does not prevent transmission.

It REDUCES a lot of transmission. The number of people that need to be hospitalized is reduced as well. See, the reason there was a lockdown to begin with is so that people don't get VERY sick and need to be hospitalized. We don't have enough room to handle very sick people in hospitals.

If people get the shot, things can return to normal sooner rather than later.

Well, I’m not getting it. Everyone can just stay away from me

There are 32 states that have a higher death rates that California

whataboutism

Denial.

You asked what was one good policy that Newsom was responsible for. I pointed it out. You questioned it and I came back with facts.

He's done better than 32 other governors on Covid. That is a fact that is indisputable.

most of the negative outrage is based on the statewide shutdown… no one wanted LA to close… can you blame them?

That's your choice and though I though I don't agree, I recognize your right to choose. I am PRO-CHOICE.

but it will prevent numerous variants from finding viable hosts

how do you know this?

because I blog on a nursing website lol
And you are confident your source is infallible how again?

you sound like my second cousin who refuses to take her psych meds while snorting cocaine lol
There there.. no need for a hissy fit. I am merely asking how you are confident on the accuracy of information obtained on this nursing blog

testy, sheesh... you'd think you'd didn't have confidence in your argument or something

you act like we are playing war with googleable facts and that we get a trophy at the end declaring the winner

I’m vaxxed. I’ve been following the CDC guidelines since this kicked off. I’m not searching this… you are FREEEEE to prove me wrong tho since you’re so hellbent at salving the Republitard’s bad reputation with all things pandemic. Have at…..
Im just asking how you know these facts you cite since there is much contradiction among a variety of sources including those that lean left

PWN3D!

you mean like you get "irritated" ? lmao

Tell us moar about that

I do get irritated at stupidity. It's a common ailment among the intelligent. We really have a hard time understanding those that are not so smart.

It's a flaw.

Problem is; you're not really intelligent?

Placebo perhaps?

If that's what helps you survive this forum experience, you go right ahead. *pats "Biggies" head*

You don't understand what "nothing but" means either so I'm really not surprised you are too stupid to grasp the meaning of my post
