Anyone here dig that whole Cthulhu business, dreamt up so long ago by HP Lovecraft? You can still find cute little green Cthulhu dolls that chicks like, and reminds the guys that some horror films even reach back and grab handfuls of material from The Old Ones. In The Mouth of Madness does that, but doesn't cause any coffin banging by HP's impressed remains.

John Carpenter is very famous for his kick-start of the slasher horror genre, despite Psycho's famous shower scene, with Halloween. But his MoM movie brings a different type of terror to its viewers by grabbing some great actors, a high budget, some HP lore, and molds a real burner with it all using his eyes and hands.

It's a good thing that the trailer doesn't show you shit compared to the Class of Nuke'em High did. It couldn't, because the awkward stress mounts and mounts and keeps mounting at a fine pace that ultimately makes the movie fast due to the undeniable tension that makes you want to know WTF is happening - when will; who will - and the answers all come banging.

I could tell you all about a couple of times I threw the DVD in while I was hanging out with someone to just have something interesting going on along with the drinking, but the company shuts the fuck up, become memorized and yes, horrified by the time this rotten peach ultimately starts tying up (literally) loose ends that needed attending.

It is my hope that none of you go on to spoil yourselves by reading more about it by the reviewers at IMbD. Those assholes think they're doing people a favor by carefully explaining things that do leave unspoiled, first-time-viewers somewhat shocked and confused. You know, like Carpenter did to the audiences of The Thing that YTers still passionately debate with no genuine solid conclusion about that movie's conclusion. The Thing maybe my favorite movie ever made, but the guy who made that also made MoM that audiences walked away from wondering WTF just happened to their familiarity with predictable slasher flicks.

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't even really heard it before because it got buried under predictable Disney films and whatever the fuck came out around the same time due to the fact that there's no annoying side-romances to appease the ladies. MoM is a different type of movie all together that will come as a pleasant surprise to the posters on a site like this one. So if you've already deflated your balls and are angrily bored for some type of entertainment, go here:

Italy is being decimated.
During the week I keep hearing the number of deaths surge daily from 320 earlier in the week to 480 the next day, then 550, to 630 yesterday and 800+ today. Picture that trend on a graph.
No funerals either, just obits in the paper and military trucks transporting caskets to a field for quick burial before shooting back for the next load. Straight out of a movie.
Considering how Italy actually has more doctors and hospital beds (34 per 10,000 ppl) than most other western nations including the US (29 per 10,000) and Italy's mortality rate is even more ominous.

To be fair, their population is also on the older side and they have (or had) this penchant for greeting each other with a kiss on both cheeks, "muah, muah", with even men doing it.

As for China, they claim they've finally gotten ahead of the curve but even if true the worst for them is yet to come. They've been the conveyer belt for one God damned plague after another but with THIS one, the fact that we're dependant on them manufacturing the very meds, masks and so much else we rely on during a crisis is gonna be OVER. When this storm passes the world's pulling the plug on their hayride and the slopes are going back to the stone age.

Democrat mayors like the one who runs Los Angeles and Philly are on it with their push to "ease the spread" being three fold:
• mass early release of prisoners
• forbid police from making arrests
• halt legal gun sales to citizens

Aka, "how to wreck a city in three easy moves".

I could cover my scars/horns with hair except for the scar on the right side which draws onto my face but isn't very noticeable unless I shave my head entirely. I don't hide - I like 'em, and telling stories about them, and look totally unique. That's just how I am. Oh, I have the same scar on the left side of my head but it stops short of my face...

Scars are life's tattoos but unlike parlor bought, always unique, hard earned, mark a life lesson (unless retarded), and have better stories regarding their origin.

Do you know your blood type?
Type O are virtually immune to the Chinese Virus (or get very minor symptoms but are still carriers) while type A are the most susceptible. I'm assuming type B are middle of the road.

The disease is also virtually non-existent in Africa and they think it has something to do with the widespread use of anti-malarial agents like quinine.
Maybe the old "gin 'n' tonic" is gonna make a 21st century comeback since tonic water has quinine in it. It ain't bad, tastes a little like grapefruit soda.

I’m agreeing with a few opinions I’ve seen now about Africa being relatively free from this virus in terms of population, it’s probably because nobody really goes there and the majority of people are too poor to travel...
And the info is sketchy and unreliable from there, being doled out by the WHO who is in China's pocket. How do you know who to trust when the shit hits the fan, that's the big question.

They closed all the parks. Fuck !
We ain't gone that far yet. You can't restrict every outlet of movement for a society that's 99% healthy or it'll backfire; people will find a way.
Then if the Netflix servers crash due to too much demand, fuggedaboutit, gonna be pandemic pandemonium lol.

Aye for sure! The Iranian government for example... They denied ANY deaths from the “chink stink“ until...

Northern Italy early November was dealing with a pesky unknown flu which in retrospect they now attribute to Covid

Did it jump from Italy to China missing out every other in between? The Black Death originated from that region of China and spread across the established trading routes with the main one being the Mediterranean... This started in China dude theYNC probably has videos of China before November... :/
