If I was to fix a Thanksgiving feed, it would be a nice Prime Rib. I am sick of poultry

Mother fucker. Ashley Home Urniture delivered our new kitchen table (we already have a formal oak dinning room table my parents bought in the 1980's) but thos was to go in the kitchen breakfast nook. My eldest son broke two of the old chairs leaning back and falling over. The old table will work for now, I guess, because they can't get isba replacement until Friday. My wife wanted to show off our new table on Thanksgiving but when they unpacked it you cod see the wood was all fucked up.

The new chairs are all good but not the table. I had never bought furniture made from mango woodb before so I don't know of it is a hard or soft wood. It looked very nice and they said it was made in Columbia.

My pottery barn table seats 12 (with the extension) and has been formally dressed for the occasion since Sunday. It cost more than my first 2 cars combined, but we have a blended fam and decided that we needed this. He and I sit at both ends and make funny gestures insinuating a bullhorn being used when we ask about passing the salt to each other.

I’m hopeful we can have a fire, but it’s still so warm. It’s this time of year that makes me miss living outside of a California where you can enjoy the fall season before a brutal winter kicks in that leaves you snowed in for Christmas.

We are hosting Friendsgiving and this will be our first Thanksgiving feast at this table. I’m so excited.

I'll probably have a small barbecue platter for myself.... sort of an English Breakfast/Chilean late day cornucopia meal with some Tex Mex thrown into it. Kind of like a fusion of lomo a lo pobre jacked up with grilled asparagus, zucchini, mushrooms, whatever and commonly used Mexican spices.

Are you making tamales?

I have only ever made them for Christmas. Some of my friends make them and roast a Turkey and that’s it, no other sides. It’s interesting since the tamales are typically filled with meat. My favorite is the green chili and cheese tho with a nice mole poured over so you can sop it up with your fork omg to die for.

No tamales this year. We did last year.

Traditionally, and with the relatives, it's turkey, sides, tamales, etc.

You try to think of something to ask Jorge (the unemployed, good for nothing, cousin) to bring that won't be missed if he screws up and flakes - maybe the ice for the cooler, we can always send someone on a quick run to the Korean market...they never close for the holidays.

Party starts on Wednesday to make the tamales first and it's over by Friday night when Abuelo gets fed up with all the crying kids, arguing couples and drunken idiots. Que se vayan a chingar a su madre a sus casas cabrones...ya estoy arto!
This is my house, get the hell out!

In our dinning room we have an oak set made in the USA which seats 12 with the extensions. For the day to day use we have one in the kitchen which is the one we are replacing.
