If this passes you'll need an ID at the polls to vote. There's a purge clause in the bill that requires the states to purge voters every some such period if they don't have this updated information. I've been registered in my state forever, but I'll have to prove citizenship in '26 if this bill passes.
They’ve been pushing voter id for years, only because they know it will reduce some voters, keeping in mind our national elections have been razor thin margins between the W and the L, so a few votes gone from id laws. A few more gone to no more mail in voting, more yet gone to closing of polling stations, etc and etc
