Also within the last couple of years tent communities have become a real issue in my city. One of those poor souls had a part time job along with his girlfriend and they still couldn't afford an apartment that's considered decent and clean. There are a plethora of other apartments cheaper if you don't mind bed bugs and pimps around. The average price for a 2 bedroom apartment in my city is $1500 monthly and the tenants still have to pay their own electricity.
