There's compelling evidence that identity (what you experience as 'yourself') is an emergent property from neurophysiology.

The electricity running through your blood-saturated Jell-O processor persists and dissipates back into the environment. But 'You' as you're currently experiencing yourself -- that's over with when you die.

Maybe some people's consciousness continues, while other people's consciousness goes into a pool of life energy to be used by entirely new entities with their own unique consciousness (i.e. reincarnation).

You never know....

That's the interesting part. All of that is up to you.

Wanna stay in the material dimensions and play a little more in the Samsara? You got it, nothing wrong with that

When the time is right, you'll just feel a push into the next steps. More consciousness, on different levels, new experiences

And eventually you lose all your ego, all of your individuality and the feeling of separation is completely gone and you return to the source because you've become indistinguishable from the source.

Hmmm....that is something to think about....behavioural changes after a brain injury...it kinda separates the idea of good/evil being a part of the consciousness/soul/"whatever you want to call it"...to simply being a part of the physical brain....
