Ryan Chapman nails it
I think it's really important we do what what can to preserve our language and the true meaning of words, especially ones that get thrown around easily and dilutes.
All this marxist nonsense confusing language.
Tho they became bitter enemies/rivals, fascism & communism came from similar roots -socialism. Fascism arose in Italy after the 1st World War as a reaction by the working class against a ruling elite which had failed them in that conflict.
Mussolini himself grew up poor & working class. As a young hoodlum he was part of a growing socialist movement sweeping Europe in the late 19th & 20th century. But he gravitated towards fascism instead of Marxist Socialism.
Fascists actually called themselves 'socialists' as well. But it was not a benign peacefull strain like fabian socialism which wanted change through peaceful Democratic means such as parliamentary democracy.
Didn’t Hitler hate the French more than the Jews, that turned the dickhead into a right cunt?
Hitler loved & idolized French culture.
That is why he did not flatten or decimate Paris during WWII because he saw it as some jewel or 8th Wonder of the World. As a WWI soldier fighting for Germany, Hitler also had a French girlfriend whom it is thought he had a love child or son with.
Hitler loved France the same way he hated the USSR which he almost destroyed. Hitler despised Russians because they were Slavs whom he thought of as an inferior race. Even tho many were blond & blue eyed just like the Aryan ideal he thought so superior.
Hitler also sought to become an Architect as a young man in Vienna but was refused entry into Architecture School. Perhaps this was a major reason he hated Jews because they denied him his dream vocation. A poor man, Hitler may have resented the Jews because they often belonged to an educated elite which looked down upon the AustrIan working class like him.
