Rancidmilko coffee bean school.

Espressos, kittens, unsupervised children.

Jitters before tests.

Yes, I follow that.

My job is not ever telling people on the internet if I work or not.

Too many vindictive psychos.

I'm currently 2nd in line to replace the Bass Player in a Ramones cover band.

Never give up on your dream.

My dad was a back ground clapper for John Cougar Mellancamp.

You would have totally wanted to blow him.

Pics?

Lol if I find them later I'll show you.

Hahaha no one ever believes me right away when I say that and they think I'm telling some sort of fucked up joke lol. Nope! It's legit! Lol!

Community mental health worker. Also, homelessness and addictions outreach worker.

Don't know if I'd call that "real life," though.

Feels more like plunging toilets in Xanadu.

I'm a phlebotomist 1 at a very busy and understaffed hospital in Chicago. I used to watch television shows like ER and wonder if patients were really like that. I'm here to tell you that yes, they are-in every way. I know that what I do makes most people pretty darn squeamish. I've done about 1,000 blood draws already, but however many more I might do I will never forget one man who was Hepatitis B positive. While I was putting on my gloves, he asked me to double bag them (put on two pairs) for my protection. I didn't oblige. I have to imagine that every one of my patients has AIDS or Hepatitis and follow precautions. While I was in the middle of drawing his blood he explained that he contracted the virus because back in his "younger days" he liked to do "dirty things in dirty places on women." TMI! I must have turned three shades of red!

So what do you doing for a living?
I was a phlebotomist for years. I have done many hiv + patients. It’s a freaky feeling for sure.

now I just work from home. I go in the hospital if I need to. I read boring surgery reports and ER notes and correct what needs to be.

they made me come in while I was sick with covid again just to clean the grease traps,,, threatening to fire me, I ended up in the Urgent Care that night. They ended up firing me (again) later that week because my attitude that day wasn't good.
Well I may have infected 50+ people, but yea.
