Obama is an intelligent and charismatic man, people like him and Obama is by far not the first former president to “cash in” on books and speaking tours and so on. If Trump survives his term in office I am sure there will be books “from” him to follow, he probably won’t see Obama’s sales figures, but he will probably do quite well on his own, barring a sudden steep fall from grace which isn’t likely given all his base is willing to accept.

Do you begrudge the Obama’s popularity generating revenue for them, as it has for countless public figures before them. I’d rather see politicians making money the old fashioned ways selling Books, Interviews and Speaking Engagements than running infomercials out of the Oval Office selling perfume.
