Obama is an intelligent and charismatic man, people like him and Obama is by far not the first former president to “cash in” on books and speaking tours and so on. If Trump survives his term in office I am sure there will be books “from” him to follow, he probably won’t see Obama’s sales figures, but he will probably do quite well on his own, barring a sudden steep fall from grace which isn’t likely given all his base is willing to accept.

I haven't ever bought a "memoir" by a politician. I have bought biographies at used book stores for some historical figures though.
