The new movie The Green Knight is getting good reviews from the critics but instead of talking about the story or the quality of the acting the professional media caste seem to only talk about how "stunning and brave" it was to take a white medieval English knight and have an Indian Hindu play the character. What gives?

Because the first known Indians to have set foot in England didn't arrive until the 17th century at the very earliest.

Even if those Paintings are doctored or misrepresented as you claim, but it would be difficult to do that to statues.

There are hundreds of statues throughout Europe of Black men in positions of authority or of the nobility dating from the Middle Ages and even Roman times. You can't deny their existence. And if a forensice scientific evidence could verifiy that they are real, it's difficult to refute those facts.

So what? give him a title, perhaps a small piece of land, but if he dies in battle, at least it's not the King. And while the Knights were fighting off the invaders, if they got into the castle, the King could have escaped in the meantime.

Thing is about Medieval Knights - they weren't like your Modern day 'Knights' or "Dames' of the British Empire. I don't think it was a glamor job like we perceive it in the modern sense.

Back then, if the King called them to fight, they were expected to protect him and fight to the death. They didn't give 'em a Frothy title or an expensive suit of armor for nothin'. Today's British Knights get to call themselves Sir John or Dame Lady Edna whatever, get to appear on TV, get millions in royalties or appear on magazine covers, whatever.

The Knight in Medieval who was provided with an expensive suit of armor to protect the King. Likewise a solider in WWII was given 1 maybe 2 guns at the most and a nice uniform to protect the British Empre, the USA the Empire of Japan.

So yeah, even if he had a Black skin and was provided with a suit of armor along with the privilege of being called a Knight back then, just like the WWII soldier, he was expected to fight and die in battle if necessary. Maybe lose a limb or 2 if he managed to live.
