You sound like my brother... he has storage box after storage box full of DVDs.

I wish I had all the VHS tapes I used to have on DVD; I especially miss Strange Days sometimes, and a Siouxie and the Banshees music video compilation.

Although to be fair it probably still wouldn't reach your numbers. LoL

Im a sucker for good movies, and a sale lol. If I knew it was a damn good movie, I would buy it within the first 2 weeks it hit Walmart, cause it was on sale then, and then the price would increase. Also, Kroger use to have family movie promotions, where you bought a movie on sale, PLUS it would come with stuff, for free, like popcorn and a 2 liter. I got a whole lot of my movies from Movie Starz when they use to be around, and they would have a Sidewalk Sale. Movies be a few dollars each, and I would load up like 5-10 of 'em lol. Also, Walmart has that $5 movie bin, and some times you'll find one that has several movies on it. Like I got 4 Clint Eastwood movies for $10 recently. In their $7.50 bin, they had 10 movies in the package, but I already owned 7 of them or so lol, and the others were shit lol.

I love buying movies, wish I had bought more over time, cause these streaming services limit what they want you to see, and now you cant find a lot of movies. When I own a movie, I can watch it whenever I want.

Dude!!!! I still got my VHS player lol. AND, when my Dad died, I inherited his VHS to DVD burning system. Havent tried it out yet, but I got it set up.

I dont have many of my VHS movies left. A box full. I still got my tapes where I had a Hotel party at the age of 18 and recorded it lol, and one from my 21st birthday party lol. I rented one of them big ass camcorders from Lee Hartman lol. Felt rich lololol. They were expensive.

I got one movie, I wanna watch, for shits and giggles, super lit, from my childhood, called Mio in the land of Faraway. You prolly never heard of it. My Grandma bought it for me when I was younger. It has a kid Christian Bale in it lol. And Christoper Lee. Can you imagine, high as fuck, watching this VHS, hahahaha........

I have a VHS player and a burner too... used it to digitize a tape that had old Super8 home movie footage a service (forget what it was called or where they were located... maybe Towers mall?) captured ages ago.

I'd already gotten rid of almost all my tapes by then, dammit.

We don't have a close friendship. I don't know how you define friendship, but I have only one friendship in my 15+ years. It is no one on this forum, or any forum any more for that matter.

If Stubby has any friends, he’s probably lying

My favorite Dracula will always be Gary Oldman in Bram Stokers.

Have you ever read about Vlad the Impaler? Dracula films are loosely based off him..

Yep! And I'm aware :D

I'm not even into romantic movies but I love that one. Imagine living your life, being engaged, doing the right thing, and your husband from like 2k years ago that you loved so much you threw yourself off a castle because you thought he was dead just shows up one day and fucks your whole life lol.

It's a great plot lol. And it's based on people from history and I love history.

They say the best way of predicting the future is the past under similar circumstances…

I love history too…but couldn’t stand it at school. The French Renaissance shat me off to tears and was one of the reasons I never took Art as a subject back then. Spewing really. Thankfully my daughter carried on where I left off. She’s been doing really well at University with some great exhibits on show.

That was good but when I think of Oldman it's as Sid Vicious from Sid and Nancy.

He really is an incredible actor.

I always wonder with these movies about bands how much is actually true. The Doors movie pissed off a lot of remaining band members and family members because they say Jim Morrison was really nothing like that and his relationship with Pam Corrison(?) was not at all abusive like how it was depicted.

Sid Viscious is still alive though so he could defend himself lol. Morrison couldnt.

The Motley Crew movie caused some fuss as well. I actually watched that one only because I read Nikki Six's book while i was in rehab lol.

Sid died of an OD a long time ago.
His mother gave him the drugs and may have even helped him inject them, according to some reports.

Oh no I know....I meant to say he WAS still alive when the movie was made so he could have defended himself

Or I'm wrong on that lol. Wasnt he alive when the movie was made?
