If it's anything like Arizona it's a really dry heat so not exactly miserable but sneaky; you have to stay aware of your condition (water intake, etc.) or it's easy to get heat stroke unless you stay inside all the time.

I think I had that last year, it was no joke. I was ill for a week afterwards.

I've never had it but I've seen people who did or damn close to it. A young fella at AF basic training (Texas) turned all splotchy and was borderline delirious; we all had to stand around and wait while they poured some water in/on him and had an EMT check him out. I don't recall anyone getting that bad in Arizona but we were only there to do our jobs not to march around all day and shit.

I've had heat stroke. When I worked for a surveying team in Santa Fe, we'd be out in the hot sun for hours.

Definitely not a pleasant experience

I got pretty badly sunburned last summer after being out in the sun all day. Didn't think much of it the next day, despite being red as fuck and peeling like mad on my face. Anyways, I started feeling sick and had the worst piercing headache around my left temple. The sunburn didn't clear up for days and the headache lasted about a week. I went through tons of paracetamol and was relieved as fuck when it finally eased off lol.
