I had chicken curry on a jacket potato, was mighty fine!

Tomorrow its going to be Quiche Lorraine, Marrowfat peas and boiled spuds with some ketchup. Or maybe skip peas and do baked beans with it.

Sunday no idea, depends where i'm kipping that night. Fancy a Chicken Biryani and lamb Vindaloo.

Next week salad season kicks of!

Going to roast a bag of carrots and a sweet potato, some garlic and onions as well, for a creamy soup with butter, chicken stock, coriander, cumin, ginger, pepper, and a tub of sour cream. There will be fresh bread for them to eat the soup with....if I don't eat it all myself.

I've felt an extremely small pang of guilt for not preparing dinner in advance for the others, so I've done up separate containers of roast potato, sweet potato, onions, steamed broccoli, and some skillet fried beef and cracked pepper sausages.

Mostly because of the kid.... her mother could burn water... lol

A 1.6 kilo lamb roast slow cooked at 140 degrees Celsius in a Dutch oven in the stove. About 3.5 hours duration. I'll have to reduce the garnish later and bake some potatoes for it.

deli meat is a carsonogenic

pat the meat dry with tericloth or papertowels

throw a cast iron skillet on HIGH

drizzle some EVOO + onion garlic etc

and brown both sides

keep the oven on HIGH for the first 20 - then reduce to slow cook

even better - let the meat get room temp before the whole process
