That's why they should devise 'smart guns', similar in concept to Smart Phones, so that the only one who can activate or fire these things, are the owners.
Making smart guns mandatory, and eliminating guns with unlimited use might eliminate a lot of fatalities in the US.
Smart guns already exist, tho th technology hasn't been perfected yet.

It varies from state to state, but it mostly does.
I know if you get caught with heroin here in Michigan, you will typically get the option of being "sentenced" to rehab, and if you get caught again....that 1st offense will become a felony on top of the felony of being caught again.
Michigan is harder on guns.

So we have a law abiding 53 year old black male who felt a need to protect himself the only legal way he could given the sky high violent crime in Detroit and the poor response time of DPD. Then we have the 20 something black criminal who stole the older man's gun and who has a very long list of prior violent felonies. Oh, and who's side does Admin ignorantly take? Ok. One requires the threat of physical violence to be successfully stolen and one requires to simply be light fingered.
