What I was trying to express was that if you teach them early on how to identify abusive behavior, and how to have and respect healthy boundaries....that will have the most influence on them. But if they are already caught up in this kind of relationship, its really difficult to get through to them.

And let them know about the motherfuckers who are out in the real world who will try to convince them that they are a nice person. Let them know what are some red flags. Let them know that they can always confide in you and you will always have their best interest at heart.

This is all true. The problem is, a lot of sociopathic men lure women in by being nice to them. The whole love boms thing. The evil doesn't come out until later, when the woman is already in love, and possibly already completely dependent on the guy. It can be very difficult for some women to find a way out, no matter how much they've been warned. Often, they do not even get that it is not their fault, because the guy tells them everything is their fault, and they believe it. They think if they just get it together, everything will go back to how it was.

So sad watching the mom look for a way to believe Gabbys death was painless and somewhere beautiful :( her last days were loaded with high stress, insecurity and emotional pain. And these sadistic abusive demons enjoy inflicting suffering on others. That poor girls last days and moments were no doubt absolutely miserable.

Police should have ongoing required training as more is learned about domestic abuse situations. It's amazing they talked to them both all that time and it didnt occur to them once that if one person is hysterical and the other is calm and chill.....well it's because the calm one tormented the other one into hysterics.

I think desperately fighting to breathe would be horrendous and time takes on a new dimension when your life is at stake. I was broadsided in a car accident 24 years ago and I felt the time warp in my brain.

I was nearly strangled and there is no pain and you pass out before actually dying. Dying only takes a couple of minutes.

I'm sure Gabby's mum would have received councelling as soon as she was told about her daughter's death being quick and painless or she wouldn't have come across so composed on TV. I lost 23 + 11 months year old remember?... It is a big, big deal knowing how your children die. And the smallest of comforts matter.

My dad and his crew went missing at sea... as a child I use to imagine drowning before going off to sleep and gave myself a decent dose of claustrophobia for life from those imaginings.... Then I had a boyfriend who was revived from drowning, asked him what it was like to drown. He said, "you just struggle for a minute then everything goes black"... After he told me that, I never obsessed again.

She had been dead for like 3 weeks before she was found, so obviously there was a lot of decomp. They ruled it homicide via strangulation because of the crushed hyoid.

There were only a few bones left according to the vid but he COULD HAVE been sleeping and grabbed by a large alligator and dragged into the water. Crocs in Australia run across states where the water areas are a hundred miles apart. We will never know for sure.
