The thing I've always been envious of is the amount of grape and watermelon flavour things there is in America compared to here, although they're slowly catching on... We've got grape Fanta and watermelon mentos now, watermelon juice is hard to find...

LOL I guess you don't know about the stereotypes involving those flavors in America...

America in my mind covered a lot of territory, when you think about North, Central and South America’s.

This is a great one:

Why do Americans in films always seem to put plates with food on still in the sink?

I have yet to see a garbage disposal unit in a sink in Europe. Or in NYC, for that matter.

Really? What do they do instead of a garbage disposal?

I use worms.

we have two dogs for that lol

Most of the food and drink associated with black hood culture is fucking awesome.

I have a friend I've had since childhood, we lived in a mostly black area. So she ended up marrying a black man, had two children. He was a controling abusive alcoholic and they struggled a lot because he wouldnt hold a job and blamed anxiety. I did get along with him but it was a sad situation.

Anyway I used to go to his families house for holiday dinners because his family was awesome and the food was awesome. They also taught me how to manage my hair better and how to take care of my oldest daughters cradle cap lol

MEATLOAF (Bill Blass)

INGREDIENTS
    • 1 c chopped celery
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 3 tbl butter
    • 2 lb ground sirloin
    • 1/2 lb ground veal
    • 1/2 lb ground pork
    • 1/2 c chopped fresh parsley
    • 1/3 c sour cream
    • 1/2 c soft bread crumbs
    • pinch of dried thyme
    • pinch of dried marjoram
    • salt & pepper
    • 1 egg
    • 1 tbl Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 1/2 c chili sauce
    • 3 slices of bacon

PREPARATION
    1. Saute celery & onion in butter. Remove and cool. Mix meats, parsley, sour cream, bread crumbs and spices. Whisk egg w/Worc sauce and add to meat mixture. Place in loaf pan or cookie sheet Top with chili sauce and bacon 350 - at least 1 hour, until fully cooked and nicely browned up.

This makes a pretty hefty meatloaf but as we all know, it's good leftover.

Blass likes to serve it with baked potatoes, red pepper jelly and corn pudding.

I'd definately take the pork out.
My wife tried that, too. But it's 4 to 1 to 1 so it's not that much pork, and even if you just use more veal it's still not as good. Plus, taking out the bacon is a deal killer for sure.

I make an exception for occasional bacon but we really dont eat pork over here lol. Not really for religious reasons but pigs eat garbage and all kinds of nasty crap.

I hear they're much worse where @Harry McKnackers and Caskur hail from.

It's hard to find pigs like that today

Those are usually the ones people raise at home

Of course, you can find cheaper meat here, considering how much we produce

But then you're on your own, you might end buying incredibly nasty and dangerous meat

So I never buy meat from another place besides the butcher at the local market, which operates a bit like a cooperative

So all the meat has to come with all the inspection seals and whatnot

Pig farms that operate in large scale have to be clean

Pigs eat just meal and the poop is washed away within 30 minutes because of the automated systems

Yeah I'm just so used to not eating that the thought of eating pork grosses me out. Bacon is awesome occasionally.....that's it.

We get our meat from a local farmer. We go halves on a cow with my father in law and that gives us nearly a year worth of meat. That and hunting. We have plenty of beef and venison here lol.

Chicken I try to get from farmers but that's not as simple as you would think it would be. I'm picky about meat. Eggs are easy to get from farmers. Chicken? Not so much.

I hate.....HATE how terribly chickens are treated in meat manufacturing. I dont care how dumb they are. They are alive and they feel terror and pain and I'll never give my money to that shit show.

I'm not anti meat or anything I'm just very anti cruelty. I would kill my own chicken before supporting brutality like that.

I seriously am convinced how those poor chickens....and cows and pigs are treated in meat manufacturing even deeply offends God. That's gotta be sin.

How could it not?

We were given dominion over creation. We were not given a pass to torture living beings and treat them as if they have no dignity at all. It seriously enrages how cruel and dirty it all is.

I just picture those poor chickens all smashed up in those cages, being crowded up like that and having to stand in their feces to the point where their feet are all full of sores. Poor baby chicks getting chucked into grinders. The way they tie the chickens up by the feet on a line and just send them through that thing that decapitated them. You know the poor things are terrified and in pain.

Fuck everyone who does that. Seriously. I hope they get sick from the poor conditions they force those animals to live in. They all deserve ass cancer.

Yes that's easy to get... I know I could make juice from whole ones but I like the overly sweet fizzy ones too...

When I heard Americans microwave water instead of using a kettle, my mind was blown and not in a good way...

How the fuck is that a thing?... :LOL3:

I'm a non-American and I have questions.

Why do Americans travelling abroad all look like they're from Hawaii?

Why is so much American advertising about the elimination of germs and odours? What are we not being told here?

Why are so many Americans unable to point to America on a world map?

Why do Canadians wear shorts and t-shirts with cowboy boots? (My sister-in-law said to my mom when picking her after sitting..."She looks Canadian"...lots of Canadian snowbirds down their way).

Why are Canadians, on average, so damned nice? Do they put the mean and shitty into their geese? Those fuckers are mean and shit everywhere.

I may have more questions...:GiggleBitch:

Now on all seriousness, Brazoolians should be the absolutely last fucking people to be asking other nationalities why they do certain stuff.
