Electrician would be much better than plumbing in terms of retaining ones health & being able to retire in 1 piece

I've known people who went into plumbing or working in the sewers and their lungs were shot by the time they retired

there are hazards in every trade so ideally a person wants to be in the safest one

Being an electrician is probably like a lot of jobs: It is okay at first; new and interesting; but it becomes repetitive and boring. And then you are stuck spending half of your waking hours doing something repetitive and boring. I was "lucky" (i.e. smart) enough to avoid that torturous situation. But very few people have the natural gifts to avoid getting stuck in the daily rut of a regular job. Anyways, best of luck @Kingoffrogs. Invest your savings wisely and hopefully you can make it out before your body is ruined.
