3. I skipped my high school prom to play in a chess tournament.
4. I managed to walk 2 or 3 miles to my home from uptown on 2 hits of microdot without getting arrested.
5. Before my doctor really got to know me he prescribed me Ritalin which I abused the hell out of. No refills though.
6. My dealer once gave me a few joints for Christmas. That was nice.
7. After many years the local grocery stores started stocking Apple Jacks and Boo Berry cereal.

Dear Alticus, thank you. She was silently suffering a long time and at the time I was too busy being drunk and high on this and that to see it. Really was a selfish prick.. I seen all the signs more than most that knew her but it was all about me in those days so I pushed it and her to the side in the end for my own selfish enjoyment. Those last few months I had.. could have had with her and not my addictions is the biggest regret of my life. When I came that day... let's just say in an instant it felt like my whole world was gone in an instant. If we didn't have those kids I really believe I would have ended my life right then and there. Only thing that kept me from insanity and suicide was them. Took a long time to recover.. some parts of me are just gone though. Haven't returned since. Somehow I got through it all with their help in ways I can't really express.

I've seen most of Jack's movies. Five Easy Pieces is my favorite. All the relationships in the movie I can relate to my own experiences and family. I think he just got tired of the business, the process of making movies, promoting. The work I believed he always loved doing but what happens when you fall out of love with what you do? I think thats what happened with him and he was finally at an age where he could say fuck it all and be happy living life on a much smaller scale
