Yknow I actually feel more threatened & offended by the likes of Uber/Lyft pushing their sham share services on me than anything Joe Rogan has ever done or said. I don't care about Joe Rogan 1 way or the other.
If there's any company which has destroyed more livelihoods, undercuts the working class around the world & engages in unfair unsavory business practices, it's Uber Lyft.

...same time, there may be some valid criticism of Spotify that perhaps they didn't detach themselves from Joe Rogan & his commentary or offer a balanced counterpart to him. Ie - a talk show which featured Rogan & someone opposed to his views.
Could have also added a disclaimer like "Spotify does not endorse the comments of this podcast as it only represents the views of this particular podcaster".
During the brief time I used Spotify, I never tuned in to Joe Rogan nor was I aware that he was on there. I mainly heard Rogan on YouTube & his challenges with COVID.
Other than that Rogan never captivated my interest sufficiently enough that I was willing to listen to him for 30 minutes or an hour. Actually I found him more boring than offensive. Just another talking head, a dud. A regular bloke. But certainly NOT offensive. Not a demagogue.
Nope...the Joe Rogan brand never caught on with me. All the more reason not to get worked up about the guy.
Anyways, People have to be more open to different pov whether they agree with them or not.

Tho he is Canadian & thought of as a cultural icon here & abroad, I never really could get into his music. Never liked his voice. His cultural counterpart might be someone like classical composers Richard Wagner or Robert Schuman. Artists whom critics consider 'great' but not necessarily by the masses.
Actually he probably churned out his best work when he was part of the band Crosby Stills Nash & Young . But that was a group effort not by a single artist.

The thing is, Rogan is just a regular guy with a platform who does topical discussions so of course he's going to have opinions that are different to other peoples... The world is one stupid fuckn place, I swear people want to stifle free speech but these same people will be the first to complain when their point of view is stifled and it will be... I've never paid Joe Rogam much attention either, like Joe I'd only seen him fleetingly on YT...
I cancelled Spotify because I can't stand Corporations that bend the knee to progtard fuckwit activists like you, land whale....
I think this spotify thing is very much borderline stifling of free speech. It's gotten out of control. It's not wrong for Rogan to have guests that have an issue with vaccines. People may disagree, but it's fucking protected speech in the USA, imo.

Neil Young had Polio when he was 4 years old, that was 4 years before the vaccine came out, Neil got the vaccine ASAP. Neil also has an immune system just like the almost one million Americans that have died from Covid.
Rogan is a very centrist guy. He does like to talk about aliens and mushrooms. He has some very interesting guests. I just don't get why people have decided to target him. He's kind of a moron, but can be entertaining. He is not an extremist at all.

And Rogan is not telling people what medical decisions to make. He isnt giving medical advice. If someone is stupid enough to listen to Rogans OPINIONS over advice from their own doctor, that's their responsibility. It is NOT the place of anyone to censor anyone else for "safety".

But I think Spotify should just compose a disclaimer, maybe make people listen to it before they listen to any of the podcasts that have anti-vaxxers. It shouldn't stifle speech, which so far it has not done. I think the more speech is stifled, the more a certain population is going to dig in their heels re taking an anti-vax position. The same with other things that get censored. It's a slippery slope, imo.

Spotify has announced they will start giving some sort of an alert when Joe is letting some bull shit artist on the show, and Joe says he will attempt to be more "fair and balanced" we will see if either of those measures amount to anything.

BTW, Neil has partnered with Amazon Music, and is offering a 4 month free trial. So Neil is not anti Capitalist, in fact there is a video on YT of Neil going into a NYC Record store in about 1968 or so, and questioning the clerk why they're selling bootleg records, including one of his.
