Because I oppose BLM. One night she called me and she was drunk. She started kinda arguing with me about Jacob Blake. She refuses to watch the second video.

I kept trying to get off the topic but she kept coming back to it, talking about Trayvon. I started pointing out BLM murdered Secoriea Turner.. all my valid reasons.

She was so condescending, talking over me... I hung up on her. I never hang up on people but I was getting angry at how she was speaking over me and down to me as and just kept calling me a republican.

...I'll never forget the first couple of years living in Australia....mid 90's for a frame of reference. We had to hit garage sales to furnish our simple abode...and most of the garage sales weren't fair market value here, and definitely not in the US.... the Jewish suburbs were the worst though...

I once picked up a severely battered ice cream scooper, because we needed one, expecting maybe a dollar or two, and they demanded 8 dollars.

We could have gotten one at the shops new for 4-5 dollars. I attempted reasoning with them and they told me politely to fuck off if I wasnt prepared to be serious.

I was VERY FUCKING serious when I told them how much it would roughly cost for us to get a new ice cream scooper at the shops, and they were morons for insisting we pay double for a tool that already lost its half life.

Anyway... we fucked off. Even if they offered it for a penny, we weren't buying... flash forward a few years later and we were making enough money to get nicer things and decided to hold a couple of garage sales to get rid of our unwanted things.

I told my wife that we should put a fair cheap price on furniture items we had scored and if it didn't sell within a couple hours, take much less for it (so it would be gone!).

We advertised in the local paper, and an hour before we were slated to start, we had these Greek and Italian kids with vans shouting at us while their arms were propping themselves over our tall fence.

I told them it wasn't starting yet. Come back at the right time...

Me: yeah, some pieces. Come back at 9am.

They started threatening me and I was having none of that... you see, every time we had a garage or yard sale, it was to get rid of stuff we didn't want but price was NEVER an issue. My mum always asked a fair price for multiple pairs of jeans and such with the migrants but when they settled on a price, my mum would ask them to take as much away as they could... because as she explained to them, we'd have bag it up and take it to the goodwill... so help your fucking selves....PLEASE.
