If it's anything like Arizona it's a really dry heat so not exactly miserable but sneaky; you have to stay aware of your condition (water intake, etc.) or it's easy to get heat stroke unless you stay inside all the time.

I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area and Vegas hot, although indeed dry, is hellishly hot for me.

And inside a casino is also not my cup of tea.
