I don't understand how anyone can eat with dentures. Without glue they move around, with glue it feels like the roof of your mouth is being ripped apart. I just take the damn things out when I eat and just don't eat out in public anymore so I don't offend anyone around me.

I, through many misguided adventures, wear partials, to whit; there are metal arms that grip my remaining teeth snuggly and are properly formed so that they do not come off without force. I avoid sticky things like toffee or gum for obvious reasons. And I chew with my mouth closed.

Between years of substance abuse and not listening to the piercer about not rubbing my tongue jewelry across my teeth as well as fracturing my molars on the jewelry while eating I have a full top plate and a bottom partial (they are made like yours). The dentist wanted to fix everything and I'm thankful I did things my way because my remaining teeth that were fixed, they all hurt. I'm eventually going to get the rest pulled and get mini implants to hold the plates in place.

Oh.. I just had root canals in all of mine.. works like a charm. And I retain the structural integrity of my jaw and face by having those teeth in there. There -might- be a slight sting when they rip the nerve out and melt in the surgical rubber.. but that passes.

I have anxiety and panic disorders so I have a hard time sitting still while someone is all up in my wide open mouth working on my teeth. The implants will keep my face from sinking in as long as I don't wait too much longer to get them done. I don't seem to have much structure loss yet........ Mini implants also improve bite force.
Tooth pain is the worst thing EVER! I want to have all mine removed. My husband lost all his teeth after the bucket of a backhoe hit him in the back of the head and slammed his face against the concrete. Cracked his skull, jaw... it was a terrible thing... Anyway... he manages his swimmingly. I think because I don't know, his fit better than my co-workers because he NEVER makes those sounds when he eats.

:WaitWhat: wow that's a hell of a way too loose teeth. Tooth pain is the worst. When I do leave my plates in to eat I don't think I make any noise when I chew it's just damn uncomfortable and food taste is diminished with the palate being covered.
I can imagine and burning your tongue is probably more likely with so much of your mouth being covered up. My mom hates hers. She never wears them to eat either. She will wear them when she leaves the house but she's constantly biting herself when she tries to eat with them.

Some people just do better than others. I tend to bite my cheeks and yes burning your tongue is more likely. Mine are pretty but not functional enough.

I'm happy to finally have some work to do. Hasn't been much for the past 2 weeks.
I took my mom to get her new eye glasses this afternoon and we ate lunch.
She gave me all her jewelry. She said that she wanted me to have her wedding rings. She said she didn’t trust my brothers girlfriend and her kids not to take it.
