Oh I'm very happy. I'm genuinely happier than I've ever been in my entire life.

I have two cats left. All the rest have been homed. My middle daughter kept her fluffy calico, Ripley, and I kept my Prudence Von Puff.

Yesterday Ripley started walking around yowling and wobbling. It was terrifying. My first thought was she ate or drank something toxic....but I have no idea what because I keep the house very clean and organized and I don't even use cleaners that are toxic. Everything is child and pet safe. No plug ins. No oils they can get into.

There was no drooling or vomiting so then we thought she had a stroke and we were going to have a wobbly cat.

We rushed her to a Pet Urgent care. She had an inner ear infection. 680 on an ear infection! So she's on anti biotics and ear drops. She got lots of tubie treats.

I'm in the suburbs....I think I've seen one stray cat and I'm pretty sure it lives down the street. Very healthy and well fed so I don't put food out or anything.

We do have a whole family of deer that walk through the sub a lot and that's fun to see.

I miss living out in the boonies but this man of mine would be miserable in the country...and I'd rather have him honestly. We are going to be here until the house is fully renovated and we no longer need this many bedrooms and bathrooms.

So no more living out in the boonies for me! This man is so worth it though.

A similar thing happened with my 2 cats. One of them, Socks, (the outgoing black and white one and my fav if I am being honest) suddenly starting making this mad howling noise that I had never heard before, as though he was in pain. I was like WTF, and my immediate reaction was thinking that he had something stuck in his throat, so I kind of gave him a shitty version of the Heimlich Maneuver Lol.

It didn't seem to help though, and he carried on with this god awful noise, so I stuck him in his carry case and went to the vet. Naturally when I got there, he had stopped making the sound and seemed back to normal. He had a check up and was fine. I was £60 lighter in return for basically a wasted journey and an apparently over-dramatic cat. I still to this day have no clue what was wrong and he never made that sound again. Cats can be weird Lol.

Ripley is my daughters cat (my 19 year old) so she was hysterical. My man went into action and rounded us up and we took the cat right to the cat urgent care.

Ripley is doing much better today. My daughter has kept her in her bedroom and has been giving her the antibiotics and ear drops.

Yeeessss. It was insane.

It was the ear cleaning, the blood work, and the medicine. We knew it was going to be pricey because this happened on Saturday (of course) so our regular vet was closed for the day. They close at 1pm...Ripley didn't start the crying and wobbling until around 3.

So we went to the Pet Urgent care. Any emergency vets are expensive. I hate it so much.

We hauled ass too because I swear to God my first thoughts were this poor cat ate something that is killing her. Or she's had a stroke. It was scary. She could barely walk without wobbling and falling.

I've seen people spend over 10 grand on a dog only to have it die soon after all the useless testing and treatment.
