I'm a traditional (and non-traditional) board (and card) game collector.

I have about 250 such games.I even play some of them once in a while.

Always liked Waterworks and Mille Bornes.

Carcassonne and Ingenious.

Cranium if there's either kids (Cadoo) or booze (Cranium proper) around.

Latest board game I bought: Tomb Raider: Legends

Back in the day I remember Diplomacy being a fun game if you could get together seven players.

Yeah, Cranium can be fun.

Carcassonne is pretty good.

Catan is really good.

Ticket to Ride is really good.

Splendor is quite good.

Was at a friend's house on Saturday for dinner and games and we played Splendor Marvel which is almost the same as the original but has one extra type of bonus (Avengers bonus).

We were also introduced to Dominion which is a deck-building game. It was quite a lot of fun.

My favorite games are Connect 4, Monopoly, Backgammon and Mancala.

We have been teaching the kids to play Black Jack since last fall. After a couple of nights of family fun, I splurged and bought 3 cases of premium poker chips, 4 decks of black playing cards (with silver and gold suit colors) and an automatic shuffling machine. After we master this (they are just now learning the double down bet), we are moving onto Texas Hold em’ Poker.

The kids bought me a game called Spoons as part of my Christmas present last year… but it’s based on multitasking and speed, is easy to rig for a win and makes me stressed out with all the jumping to grab the spoons FIRST, and then screaming and complaining when they lose… so, I hid it in my closet and am pretending I can’t find it…

:whatever:

Mancala is fun. One of the oldest games in the world, too. So ancient, in fact, that even Aryan's African ancestors played it.

I had fun lately with Risk: Game of Thrones Edition and King's Cribbage (sort of a cross between Cribbage and Scrabble).
