Repotted my Haas avocado tree(now into it's 3rd year) and a few other plants as well.
That tree done got a smile on and is standing tall, leaves at full mast.

I am planning on planting two avocado trees in the backyard. Apparently, there are A type trees and B type trees and the difference is when the flowers are open so by having both an A and a B you can double fruit yields. We've recently been busy making our raised bed garden and we have a number of citrus trees but avocado, olive, grape, and papaya are all on the to do list. We will have to sort out the drip irrigation system first.
Avocados A or B type, take years to fruit. Good luck getting them that far. They gots to be BIG, now...
i like avacado

The internet has hundreds of remedies. Murdering the little bastards can be fun tho.
i was worried it would kill 'good bugs' like bees but it has a protective mesh on both sides that only let small pests through, ie gnats and skeeters

The SF Bay Area isn't a desert. But, it can get warm in the summer.
Yep. Spent a bit of time all throughout that region... One doesn't have to be too far away from the ocean to start feeling the desert heat blowing in!

Depends on the direction the breeze/wind is coming from. Most of the time the airflow is kind of circular or comes in from the Pacific, so even on warm days, by early evening wind picks up and it cools off quickly.

With a high pressure system it can be stagnant air or heat blowing in from the East where it's hot.

Yep. It's weather I'm not so sure I could get used to. San Francisco proper always seemed fairly mild (not so sure I'd want to live there though... outrageous real estate prices, and overrun with bums and lefties), but I didn't have to go far to feel the heat. And simply traveling over one mountain pass, I'd really feel the heat!

And beaners were wearing sweaters while this Canadian White boy was sweating away in a short sleeved T-shirt!

Waiting for the coffee water to boil, and into the French press. Fresh Pineapple is cut and ready.

Chasing a gecko that bolted after I pulled the fridge out from the wall. He or she was nesting on the fridge guts for the heat.

Here too.
Just got outta the water. Perfect conditions this morning. Offshore, 88 degrees or temp, ocean water about the same. Not big, but driving and peeling.
