Back when I was a wee child my parents used to take us kids shopping Lex @The Prowler

The total Grocery bill 4 kids & 2 parents was $50-60. I suppose if you factor in 200% (?) Inflation since that period in history that's about how much they paid at Safeway where they used to shop.

$1000 or so in today's money, Lex?

Yeah...200% inflation....so 100% plus 200%....or three times.....

So 3x$60 equals......

Yeah, right around $1000 Senile @Joe .

Whatever, Lex.

You get the drift.

What you paid $1000 for on that grocery bill you uploaded, used to cost my parnets $50-60 from the Supermarket back in the late 60s early 70s, eh.

I remember it was like 4 large paper bags filled with groceries from Safeway.

Cuz we kids had to help carry them back ta the car, eh?

Chocolate bars were 10 cents. Today they're $2.00 each.

Bread was like .25 cents a loaf. Now it's typically like $5.00 per loaf?

Like candy bars, bread is today 20x more expensive than 50-60 years ago.

And the dimes and quarters were made outta silver.

2000%?
