@Reggie_Essent Your team is ranked #11 at present.
. Looks like maybe a 3 or 4 seed if they hang in tough.
You will be glued to your recliner come the 17th.
Not that you wouldn't be anyway.
...but at least you'll have something to watch on the tv and to live for.

Yeah, I've heard rumbling that Illini Basketball has been pretty good lately, but you gotta understand, after the 1990s Basketball at any level just isn't a thing. Do you realize that Chicago would have had 8 NBA Championships in a row if Michael Jordan hadn't taken two years off to try baseball?

There's no coming back after that kind of excitement.

Mama told me never look into the eyes of the sun.

Yeah @Reggie_Essent I don't watch baseball anymore because the Yankees don't win every year.
. I feel your ennui, man.
No worries, it will all be over soon enough.

. I grew up in the NYC metro area and first became a fan and player of the game after the Giants and Dodgers had left for the west coast and before the Mets had come to be. They were and are, of course, the greatest franchise in the history of sports, and those early years of my fandom were among their greatest.

Shut up, asshole! Stop rubbing it in! As a lifelong WHITE SOX fan (Cubs fans are all homosexuals) I've only ever been able to enjoy one perfect year in 2005.

Jagoff Yankees!

I am saddened by your pain, sir.
Just think of us poor Football Giantards fans over the past decade and know that we too know disappointment and resignation to defeat.

Yes, but at least the Giants won four Superbowls since the Bears won their lone Superbowl. :LOL3:
. You know I had just been considering this. Yes there is that moment of euphoria when your team wins it all, but then is it all the worse to watch them go straight to the bottom and languish there? Is it perhaps better to accustom onesself to disappointment than to be teased and tormented by the memory of past success. See what I'm saying there, Larry?

You have a point.
