My brain puked that movie up out of nowhere a few days ago and I had forgot all about it. I hadnt thought of it since childhood.

. Now if unlike Quint Tarantino you like 80's movies
Go down to your video store and rent Toxic Avenger. Now your 80 zing.
I remember going to BlockBuster or Hollywood Video was a regular Friday night ritual. Everybody got a video for the weekend watch. Sigh ... Fun times. Those days are over, H lol. Are you still able to rent movies where you are?! Every video rental place here shut down long ago.
We just stream movies now. Or find them on YouTube and watch the on the TV screen.
You can find good old/classic movies released under 'The Criterion Collection' umbrella at least as physical disks. Dunno about digital versions.
I re-watched 'Repo Man' the other night.
*NOTE*
Not to be confused with the more recent 'Repo Men', with Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.

We have been watching all the silly ones. Seeing these movies through adult eyes is wild
We watched Mannequin (Kim Catrell), Short Circut (started a whole conversation about AI becoming sentient). Whose that Girl (Madonna). Crocodile Dundee.
Just mostly silly comedies. Purple Rain is on the list but Squish isnt old enough for that one.
Of course The Goonies. She Devil. Serial Mom (which my kids have already seen and loved lol)
Bwa Hahaha! There were a couple local video stores that had the "backrooms" for the porn. I was always with my sweetie and the kids, so I never got to look at the dirty porno tape covers.Yep. Here where i am it was Block
Buster and Family Video lol.
We had one "independent" one with a massive porn section were we always saw the SAME dude just browsing LOL. I would get my friend to walk past the entry to the porn area and id push her in lol.
Thinking back on how people would just go rent porn is wild lol.
Rock and Roll High School with PJ Soles and The Ramones was one of my favs along with the brat pack and Fast times.Don't forget 'The Breakfast Club' and 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'.

If I was single and had money, I'd take you out for Lobster. It's 2026. I'd make the bitches buy me a lobster dinner. Equality and shit, yo.
I miss my grandma sooo much. My dad was there too, but Grandma tried to raise me more than he did, not his fault. She taught me everything but gaming and reading comics. Trying to sum everything up in a neat little paragraph will never happen.Imma good grandma cuz I had the best example. My grandma was my mom, grandma and dad all in one
I would NOT have a dinner with someone as a first date.
I mentioned video stores to put you in an 80s mood. Those days are over, H lol. Are you still able to rent movies where you are?! Every video rental place here shut down long ago.

Duhhv is an idiotI am not sure that I agree.
Living together gives you a better idea of what it will be like when (and if) you get married.
My wife and I lived together for about 6 years before we got married. It turned out that we enjoy each other's company when we spend so much time together, but we may have found out that we are not really compatible.
I am trying to say it could prevent a couple from making a big mistake.
She isn't half the idjit Prowler is though. Let's try to stay on topic here, ayyyy.Duhhv is an idiot

.Where I am we had one all the way up to the early ots then they were no more.
In any case, having thought of Toxie and Sara (what a lovely and loving couple) I found the movie on tubi.
It holds up pretty well if you like tits and campy violence...not to mention a happy ending.
Check it out.
PS: Also, in watching the movie I was thinking how much Quint might have been influence by Troma Entertainment
...so I queried the google AI re: did he like Troma. Here is the quick info received:
Quentin Tarantino is a massive fan of Troma and exploitation films. He has frequently cited the "raw energy" and grindhouse style of these independently made B-movies as a major inspiration for his own filmmaking. [, ]
Troma's DIY, over-the-top, no-budget filmmaking ethos—championed by founders Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz—fits perfectly with Tarantino’s well-known appreciation for grindhouse cinema, spaghetti westerns, and cult movies. [, , ]
Did you have a specific Troma film you were wondering about, or are you interested in learning more about how Troma influenced Tarantino's film style?
