For those who dont understand viral mutations.....they never mutate to get stronger.

Viruses don't mutate to get "stronger, weaker, smarter"...they are not making decisions. Viruses aren't sentient. Mutations are mistakes in replication. They just make more mistakes than other organisms. Their lack of fidelity in replication makes for the many strains that exist.

Hahahaha!!!! Something that is not sentient cannot make a mistake. But if someone else uses a word incorrectly, The Leaker thinks it gives her the Green Light to use it incorrectly too.

The Leaker is correct that, as far as we know, viruses are not sentient. So there is no conscious effort to mutate. Mutations do occur randomly. So some will make the virus more transmissible, some will make it less transmissible, some will make it more harmful, and some will make it less harmful.

But the mutations that are most likely to survive are those that make the virus more transmissible and less harmful.
