That looks like a good addition to the franchise..

Only thing that bothers me about these movies is how quite they are .. I need more stimulation or I'm just old , maybe a Sativa instead of Indica not sure but I kinda snoozed on the first one and it wasn't the movie cuz it happen during The Box and that had a similar plot I believe

Since it's Day 1, and presumably in NYC, with cars being tossed around and bombs going off...I don't see it being quiet, at least not while the characters figure out the aliens.
