I know someone who used crack / cocaine for mora than 20 years. After several brushes with death, he finally managed to get clean a couple years ago. But now, dude lives under constant suicide watch, can't hold a job, can't even drink a beer or smoke a joint because his body will instantly crave the alacaloids.
