Okay question. Especially for @Seamajor and @X

What do you guys think of heated flooring....the kind that uses water? I really love that idea for the bathroom(and eventually a second bathroom) and putting down stone floor?

And.....do you guys have experience with tankless water heaters?

X is the man for flooring, I tease him about fitting carpets but I've seen some of his woodwork, got skills man...

I'll need to be hitting him up with questions when I start laying flooring down.

I'm not doing any of that laminate shit either. I want real floors.
Pretty expensive but lasts ages =)

Yep but it's worth it. I'm fine spending money on stuff like that.

It's money well spent, good laminate is quite good but it's not nearly as nice...

Exactly. I really looked into this and with what youd spend on "really nice good" laminate.....I mean you may as well just get real wood.

Real wood costs more but the point of laminate imo is to spend as little as possible.

I want tough floors with character.

The thing that annoys me about laminate is sometimes if you spill and drink and it gets in the cracks it swells up and is an eye sore, solid wood is the way to go with a big rug beside a wodd burning fire, cosy as hell in winter...

Yep. I'd rather spend more up front.....than spend triple long term because I end up needing to fix the cheap floor I wanted to "save money" on.

I've actually mastered poverty. When people say its expensive to be poor.....they ain't lying. When people live paycheck to paycheck they go into this survival mode and they dismiss what more financially stable say/do. Bitterly, too. I love the poor......but I hate the attitude many have.

They buy cheap used cars because "I gotta have something"......but then they end up dumping more money they dont have into it.

They spend way more a month buying smaller portions for more. Like diapers(example). Buying smaller "cheaper" packs over spending like....10 or 15 bucks more on bulk? They are spending more per diaper and doing per week. It's a total waste. Buy the bulk on everything and your whole household bill a month is lower.

Me choosing the real wood now.....yeah I'm spending more upfront, but I wont have to replace chunks of it constantly.

We saved up a good amount of money. I'm pretty fussy about it gets spent and I want to get the most out of it.

It's not really fair comparing myself to the check to check people though.....our living expenses are very low now lol. But we were check to check and we still saved. Now it's time to splurge a bit to save more later :D

Yeah for sure, buying something like a new car could actually be cheaper than buying a banger lol

It is.

I got lucky and got my minivan for 5k.....its a 2004 Dodge Caravan but it only had 88k miles on it. I havent had a problem with it in almost 5 years now.

My dad taught me how to rotate my own tires, change my own oil....all kinds of things like that. I take the van in for that shit though because I have no time for that lol.

That's another thing.....getting cheap used cars and also not taking it for basic maintenance because you dont want to spend the money. My logic is I'm gonna be broke anyway so I may as well be broke with a working car lol. And enough of what I need. And I've never had issues.

I just described myself, it was absolutely not some open political discussion and it's a huge stretch trying to make it one.

Admin started a partisan shit flinging thread in the image subforum.....no one cared about that.

But we are gonna derail my whole thread because I called myself a "scary trailor white trash Trumpster"? That's not a political argument and there is nothing there to discuss about politics.

That's like describing a ball and someone saying it's a sports discussion.

Also this is my thread and if someone isnt participating in the conversation but suddenly police what's being posted and manipulate it into something it isnt.....that's thread jacking.

This is the last thing I'm saying about this retarded drama. We dont need to dumb ourselves down to pretend context and nuance do not exist and if the left leaners cannot turn EVERYTHREAD on the board into an argument about how stupid they think "trumptards" are than no one can even make a single comment even about their own self. Its petty. They dont understand how to not be spamming assholes so they think its "favortism" if discernment is used

This thread is about my trailor and renovations.... it's not about political drama. So far the only thing throwing this thread off and making it into the same arguments is someone who wasnt even contributing to the topic making a big deal out of nothing and trying to attach meaning that isnt there.

I'd appreciate if this dumb shit was dropped or this discussion taken out of the thread to the politics board for another round of "is this unfair bias". Ffs.
It's just important to expose the Truth about "lily". Regardless of the thread involved. We must remain ever vigilant!

While my thread was being derailed over that comment.....because someone sees a political argument in it somehow.....fucking Admin started a political thread in the image board.

SMDH. So fucking stupid. I didnt jump on him and start bitching when I realized it wasnt the politics board. I just let it go. And I'm not bitching now.....its just endless hypocrisy I'm pointing out.

BACK on topic please!
Just use the report option or mention me with any fuckery you spot, it's easy to forget where your posting at times I do it a lot lol... I'm trying to keep things clean and fair to all...

You guys know I NEVER complain. Never have. Even when a butthurt wacko was on here talking about calling my job lol.

I'm not starting now. It was the point. People need to get over themselves. It's a forum ffs. It isnt serious shit.

Basically the ONLY thing we are on the same page with.

We went through a heroin addiction together. Then.. went through rehab together. A year program. Then 2 years aftercare.

We had so many debts. Our lives were in total shambles. And we figured if we were a crafty enough team to survive as heroin addicts together.... then we could fix all the bullshit we caused.

All those insane anti skills you get when you have an expensive drug habit can be very powerful life skills if you channel them in a positive manner. And we did.

We may not make as much as some like Big or Od.....BUT we live well. If that makes sense.

He doesnt care I splurge on high end skin care and make up though. I'm smart about everything so he will actually nag me to "woman spend" lol.

I just get tired of always being the bad guy who says no to the unaffordable . I would much prefer to save and buy later. I hate credit, the worst invention ever. I really would prefer gold coins under the bed...

Quite obviously he wants a pretty woman in his home & is willing to spend over budget to get it.

I've come to the conclusion that it's not worth it for a man to chase ugly women @Dove just because they fear being alone or wish to maintain a social standing. I've known men who did & they couldn't wait to get a divorce.

Where you did most of the work yourself?

I'm SO overwhelmed I could cry. Sometimes I look around and I just want to burn this place. Like I have days where I hate it. Then I feel like a complete loser who is way over my head.

Today I feel like cutting my losses(the money I already put in)....taking what I have and just having a modular house built. I have browsed modular home floor plans....but then I feel like a weenis for wanting to give up on this. So I keep going. The whole point of doing this is to avoid debt/mortgage. I LOVE that. It just seems like this will NEVER be done. Like there is no way to even see the finish.

Normally I have a pretty positive attitude about everything and if others can do this so can I. However lately I'm just perpetually discouraged. And I cannot believe plywood for subflooring is 58 dollars a sheet. I really do not want to have to "cheap out" on anything but I'm probably gonna have to.

I have a really bad, ungrateful, woe is me attitude today where I just hate this fucking place.

My mother has been significantly challenging the past 4 days and I really just need a break but I cant get one. :(

I feel for you. Im very familiar with e building remodeling at home and down here, it’s all a hassle, and a money pit . My suggestion is to concentrate on one thing at a time.

Have you ever been married, Senile @Joe?

Other than being into hookers, I do not think you have mentioned much about your love life.
