CBDC is a horrible idea. It means the central bank gets to monitor every purchase you ever make, it means they can deny any transactions they dislike, it also means your money is never yours because they can take it away or render it unusable any time they want.

Totally agree. Reminds me of that episode of Black Mirror, or a combo of a few of those episodes. Like where if you folks dont like you, your "score" goes down, and then you get locked out of doing things, until they put you in a reform training camp.

I only keep my bill money in the bank.

I've saved all the gold shit I bought the wife, knowing one day it may be needed.

I've also saved all my coinage the past several years, in case it needs melting down for ammo!!!
