HOUSTON (KTRK) - A Texas mother is facing charges after she shot her 5-year-old son while trying to shoot at a loose dog.

Bruno is a six-month-old Boxer puppy.

Bruno’s owner says the dog burst out of his home when he opened to door to see if his brother arrived.

“He goes walking over there and you know, he’s curious and the lady just shot,” Bruno’s owner said.

I have a real soft spot for pit bulls/staffordshires. You don't see many in Portugal. I saw one yesterday when we were walking. She was beautiful. I stopped and made friends with her. She was the sweetest thing ever. She was sitting up in a chair with her people in an outdoor cafe. A beauty -- white with caramel markings and blue eyes. I should have taken a picture. I want to find a pittie to rescue now. They call them Pete Bool here.

She was the sweetest thing ever. She was sitting up in a chair with her people in an outdoor cafe. A beauty -- white with caramel markings and blue eyes. I should have taken a picture. I want to find a pittie to rescue now. They call them Pete Bool here.

I love all doggos but as you may have noticed I'm a beagle guy =) I love pitts too, some of them are incredibly beautiful, the jet black ones with yellowy red eyes are stunning... Of course bad rep proceeds them but I DO blame the owners and the way they're treated and trained, you do obviously get aggressive ones but that's the same for all dogs it's just when a pitt snaps it can be serious if not deadly...

Around here in the schemes (ghettos but not as bad but bad enough lol) the junkies, neds and other undesirables have ruined staffys rep, it's a shame because they're great dogs and extremely loyal...
