That's how I was back in the 80s when there was cocaine everywhere - and I mean everywhere. I go out and party and blow $100 on a gram, and when it was done, it was done. Other people would get all cravy and have to go look for more and more coke all the time. I saw more than a few fuck up their lives with that shit.
