Here you go Reggie. Since you make a statement and then refuse to back it up with actual facts. Truth be told I'm so sick of your bullshit I've given up on trying to have a dialog about you with anything. You attack sources after asking for data because you don't like what the response actually means. You're a no nothing do nothing meme spitting blowhard. A literal fountain of bullshit.
here's some facts for ya buddy,
The US exports twice as much dairy products to Canada as Canada exports to the US, and virtually all of it is subject to 0 tariffs. Trump has a significant trade surplus with Canada in dairy, and it is all tariff free, but it is limited to current levels.
This might be too complex to be understood by someone who lets Trump do their thinking for them, but I'll try. Under the USMCA agreement that Trump negotiated, signed, and called the best trade agreement ever, Canada kept its supply management system in dairy. To produce milk in Canada you need a quota. Same to import it (or other dairy products). Within the quota limit tariffs are 0 percent for product from Mexico and US, 7 percent for product from other countries. Above those quota limits tariffs are 241 percent for US and Mexican product, and up to 270 percent for other countries. The import quotas are set so high that the US exports $500 million or so of dairy to Canada, compared to the $250 million or so that flows the other way.
Trump, of course, ignores that trade surplus, fixates on that 241 percent number that no one pays, exaggerates it, and whines like he's a victim. Rage farming at it's finest.
And, if anyone WAS paying it, it would be the Canadian business that was doing the importing, not the US producer. Obviously, that would be unprofitable, which is why no one does that.
Once again Trump is lying to the US public, but you should be used to that by now.
