What items have you noticed have gone up by 20% or more?

So maybe the poorer classes in America are like those in Russia where the Elites get everything and the poor get the crumbs @Dove?

Sorta, yeah. The elites get all the tax loopholes and breaks while the middle class pays for the poor. The poor who are mostly held hostage by welfare(the crumbs).

As you can see in states like CA.....it ends up in two classes. People who can buy a shit house for 1 mil plus.....and people on crack/heroin who shit on the side walk.

People really can blame democrats for all this inflation and blame Trump for the lock downs. I dont think he had much choice here but I wish he would have fought it harder.

Sounds like the West Coast of Canada too.

We have a lot of homelessness and drug addiction in Vancouver and the surrounding suburbs because many people can't afford the rent or home prices anymore. Lots of people being left behind.

Places that used to be cheap no longer are.

Don’t recall ever mentioning a single responsible party

guessing guilty conscience and all that
..but you went all whiney to BF on what account? Care to site the violation that prompted your snowflake tears?
how many of your posts actually cite an inflation observation? you know, in line with what this thread is about?
I have clearly stated that I do not concern myself with mundane things such as prices.
. I want to buy a thing - I simply do. I'm not a peasant after all.

Mr. "I dont concern myself with mundane things such as prices"

And these people call Big arrogant. Wow.

Noticed today, Pasta up 25%, Cooking oil being rationed to 1 a person. Never buy it as its for retards who dont know how to render fat or cook with other oils.
Honestly, I don't think I've seen a single item that falls within the reported 8-9% inflation stats.

Even a cup of coffee has gone from 2.15 to 2.60

how do people making less than 100K per year survive through this?

as a courtesy, I just wanted to point out that "wigger-men" and "zebras" have nothing to do with items that have risen in price 20% or more due to this runaway inflation

just saying

4 black women die per day due to domestic and gang violence at the hands of black men.

And that whole absent father thing is probably pretty old by now.

FUCK!!!

I've had to cut out a lot of things. I no longer go to jams and play my fiddle every week, I go every other week.

I'm not doing bad but I'm good at surviving. I always buy bulk (and low waste) on most things and that helps. I learned a long time ago how to avoid how expensive being poor is.

We are annoyed but still doing okay.

My biggest issue is we are slowly renovating this place and on top of gas and groceries going up....so did wood and everything else. I normally stick to reclaimed/recycled materials and I'm taking the time I need to to ensure everything we use we got recycled or we get from marketplace or organizations that use profits for a cause we like. Like the Habitat for Humanity stores where they sell donated items and use the money for helping homeless people. And we only hire small business contractors.

Over all our living expenses went up nearly 500 extra dollars a month due to inflation.

My husband will stay the night over at his moms or his dads (they are divorced and remarried to other people) a few nights a week because he works over an hour away and gas prices are disgusting.

Unlike HollowSoul here, we do have to worry ourselves with the mundane things like prices. Most families do.

When I became my mothers payee for her socail security/widows benefits I was informed that the state will pay me to live with her.

I've been turning that over in my mind and deciding if I have moral issues with that.

I have a lady friend (she has a bf), that lives up here by my work. Last week she offered for me to stay there a couple nights a week to save on gas. Think Im gonna start doing that next week and make them dinner for letting me. I can make a good meal for 3 for $5-10. Gas is costing me $20 a day.

Dehydrated meals are expensive and hard to find these days. People started stocking up on survival stuff over a year ago. They went from $4-5 to $10. I use them when I backpack up in the woods for the weekend.

I consider camping a vacation. Its what I can afford, and I prefer the mountains to the beach.

Well, its obvious who the thread derailers are.

Anyway, on topic.....

I've noticed things have gone up as much as 30% or more.

My last trip to Wally World, my bill was $150.

I figured up the difference for each item, how they have gone up in the last few months.

It was a $27 increase of recent out of that $150, so woulda been $123.

The biggest increase, was paper plates. from $10 for 100 to $13. (paper shortage for those that dont know). Batteries have increased in price too. I was out, got more, and they had increased by $3 too. Frickin Spaghettios have went from .97 cents to $1.17 (20%). So much stuff, through the roof.

And lets not forget how Im paying double in gas to get to work.

Only one who seems to have benefitted from all these price increases is Canada - namely the producers of oil, natural gas & lumber.

At this rate our dollar will be a $1.05 US pretty soon @Blazor. But it's also not a healthy situation either cuz the backroom boys in America will say at some point - " That's it! We've had enough! We ain't payin no $200 a Barrel fer oiL! It's time for a recession! Gotta drive that baby down in price - that we're willing ta pay. $20-30 a barrel more like it. Sorry folks...but we're gonna pull the kill switch soon."

They're waiting for the right moment eh?

The recession has already started most likely. 1Q 2022 GDP growth in the US = -1.8%. Announced this morning. Hell, we never really had a full recovery in California because of heavy handed government and over regulation and that is why our unemployment rate in this state is twice the national average. That was before this newly started recession.

So anyway, steps over gibbering retard

Red Bull has gone up from 2.75 to 3.50

how do lower income people survive?
They don't, families are forced to cut spending..

It's even worse in Canada.......families must choose between heating their homes or cutting items from grocery lists they would've had in 2019..

Our prime minister threw fuel on the fire......not only did he not suspend his punitive carbon tax to help Canadians cope with inflation, he raised it twenty five percent on April 1..

The state of California apparently is at war with it's middle class too.......they are raising their gasoline tax(already the highest in the USA) 5.6 percent July 1 instead of giving relief to consumers who are struggling..

I don't understand the lack of pragmatism in North America.......ideology wins out......the ruling class are so out of touch with the people who's interests they're elected to represent..

And I agree, the people that spam politics here all day long don't care about this extemely important bread and butter issue or any other that impacts the lives of the middle class.....partisan spin is all that matters.

Sadly, this is all true.

The government and politicians have spent the last 50 years changing all the formulas to under cou t inflation. 1) It makes politicians look better. 2) It saves the government money on debt payments and COL adjustments for things like SSI. 3) Most people are to lazy and ignorant to care so why not lie if you are a politician?

In order to really take off Canada and greatly expand oil production Alberta needs a new oil pipeline. Remember Biden killed the pipeline heading south and now leftists are trying to kill the pipeline to the B.C. coast.

Leftists are 100% to blame for this shit.

Since Obama I've definately noticed people dont actually give a real fuck about what's true.

When you manage to pester them enough to get them honest (and this only works for people you've established somewhat of a human relationship with.....BEFORE they turn on you over politcs) they will admit they dont believe anything will ever actually change.....but they just dont like "Republicans"(which to them is everyone not dem/progs.....you have be in that paradigm). They dont really care enough to really into the meat of the issues because they dont think it matters.

You know you think it's just a few people with extreme bias like that but it's not a few people.
