Gov Newsom out and out lied. He claimed that he would FINALLY start thinning state forests but then did nothing even as he lied and claimed he had already done all the thinning. Yes, decades of bad forest management is the major reason we have these fires. People spent most of the last century putting out every fire yet refusing to do controlled burns. Now there is so much dry fuel that has built up the fires become uncontrollable.

The Dixie fire is now the single largest forest fire in state history.

I've seen the mis-managment first hand. No controlled burning whatsoever around hollyweird.

Climate change IS fixable, but the corporate overlords need to act.

But this helplessness is not an inevitable result of the severity of the crisis - severe as it may be. Instead, it's a conditioned response to a world in which the most powerful politicians and corporations want to cast the issue as too difficult and overly complex. To protect their bottom line, those in power want to obfuscate what should be an obvious truth: We can only stop global warming if we end fossil fuel extraction. And we can only do that through direct action, protest, and political revolt.

That's an hour and a half. I'm not going to invest that much time into it unless I know that the source material is factual and not biased. Your testament to it is meangingless to me, because you're all in it for the $$$$.

The title tells me what I need to know about this tinfoil tuxedo extravaganza......

Unless we let Nestle' manage our water resources we can never progress as a laisssez-faire capitalism systems!

It has absolutely nothing to do with anything like that, dullard. It literally just explains what are the water systems in the states and what are the water laws. This is why you fail so consistently. You are both ignorant and arrogant which is not a good combination.

Even if it did say some idiotic shit like that? Why would any of us be backing a heavy pollution big corp that consistently backs establishment politicains?

Backs Hillary Clinton the most and somehow tossed 400 bucks to our guy

How much cognitive dissonance do these people need to have to continue pretending they are for the regular people? All the corporate elites back them. Everything these people have done has severely fucking damaged the regular guy. Like directly and ruthlessly damaged. Driving people into irreversible poverty while corporations get more wealthy than ever.

It just goes to show you that they dont genuinely care about any of the stuff they say they do. If they did? They would take the time to be properly informed. They would want to perused others, because if you care about an issue you understand the importance of getting others behind it.

They care only about their partisan idenity and fighting their own countrymen. The ridiculous character they have built in their heads with divisive media rhetoric that they have attached to us. That's ALL they give a shit about.

EVEN in leftwing echo chamber hives around the internet they never dive deep into issues or make any effort towards unifying and working to make life better for average Americans or understand the importance of preserving liberal democracy.

Nope. It's nonstop posting corporate media headlines, heavily leftwing bullshit.....all entirely designed to smear everyone not on their team....and they just spew hate and say some of the most disturbingly hateful authoritarian crap I've ever seen. I really should start posting screen shots of some of this shit.

Fact is, they dont truly care. They just dont. They fake care and preach about whatever the media starts pumping. They really do not go further than those superficial hyper partisan narratives.

So anything we show them....regardless of how neutral it is, they wont even look at it. They just slam it, make excuses for not bothering to look and continue spewing about how literally everything wrong is the fault of people who dont go with their narratives or support their politics. That's pretty much it. Weak and hypocritical excuses.

This dumbass Admin? He doesnt even understand what free market capitalism even IS and if we try explaining it he argues. They seriously are too dumb to understand EVERYTHING they bitch about isnt free market capitalism. Its governments socailist bullshit. He also thinks free market capitalism means the Constitution and human rights are suspended in the market and the laws protecting those wouldnt apply. So child labor would be allowed. Why he thinks this idiotic shit? I have no clue. He actually said that enforcing laws that protect human and constitutional rights would be "government interference in the market" and that it "wouldn't really be free"......so he is pretty indoctrinated with some socailist propaganda.

Free market looks like no government bail outs. Even playing fields. If they fail....they fail. But they are way too intellectually lazy to bother getting completely informed on anything.

You are making false claims about liberals and free market capitalism and socialism again.

No I'm not.

If I am .. show how its false.

Also I didn't say the monoparty wasnt responsible. I just dont think the "Republican" monoparty politicains are different than the democrat ones like you guys do.

Strait up 100% TRUTH! America has put scrubbers on its coal fired powerplants, diesel engines have had a 98% reduction in particulate and NOx emissions since 1990, and auto emissions systems have done the same. In fact, since the early 2000's, carbon monoxide is so low on most gasoline engines, you cannot kill yourself from carbon monoxide in an enclosed area.

So much for "bullshit", you fucking swine!

I spent a month and a half with my GF. She lives in the Alexander Valley near Healdsburg. They depend on water rights from the Russian River. This year many of the Vintners have been banned from this resource. The fire danger may turn out to be worse, come September and October

Plenty? So how the fuck does it work that we reduce diesel emissions 98%, china and India dont, and somehow we need to do shitloads more? You're just a typical America hating batshit lunatic. As a child, I was in LA proper many times in the 70's and 80's. Being there literally burned your eyes so fukin bad they constantly watered. The smog was so thick, it looked like the entire area was on fire except smog has a much dirtier color. LA isnt like that now, asshole. Last time I was there, the fukin air was as clean as it is here in Illinois. Back in 2001, I was shocked at how much better it was. You're full of shit or just a straight up LIAR!

What can still be done? On a government level that doesnt harm our own citizens?

It's really hard to take "green" politicains seriously with their expensive policies when I SAW them use more plastic garbage in one night than my family uses all month.

They are liars, Lotus. They are grifting and scamming. Most people are fine compromising as far as policies but these all or nothing demands and attacking people who point out valid issues with these demands (like the Green Deal and M4A) does more to sabotage any meaningful things that could be done.

Handing over more money and power to a government that has consistently abused both for decades just benefits them and harms the rest of us.

How is this point difficult? It's not us that are some villains just trying to wreck the earth and deprive people of anything. That's the government.

Do you really think that giving them more money to waste(when 20 years of wars have shown us their priorities) and more reach into our lives will somehow inspire them to give a fuck about us?

Do you think government pencil pushers are fit to decide kind of medical care and options we should have depending on how much they want to spend? Lowering costs really should be our biggest priority right now. Not taxing people into the poor house for substandard medical care(because that's what will happen). Even if we agreed to tax the wealthy more, they WILL have ways around it(which is why all the wealthy elites support democrats/progressives...they know they wont have to pay anything anyway).....we will still have higher taxes and less options. We still have grossly high price tags on medical costs.

We will end up with less doctors too. Many of the reasons why people go into the practice of medicine will be gone. It will be turning medical professionals into government employees.

The state medical programs we have now are mismanaged as fuck.

Of course they're liars and grifters. But nothing is accomplished when we just give up. We need to dmand they do more, and stop denying climate change. That is one huge problem. The deniers. And every individual needs to do their part as well. Whatever possible. Solar panels, public transportation, smaller houses, less consumption, etc. Pointing fingers doesn't help. This is about everyone's future. At least give a shit about your kids, people.

Warmer temperatures in recent decades might be caused mainly by the sun and not carbon dioxide emissions, according to a new study by a team of international scientists.

The study's findings sharply contradict the conclusions of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change,

reported Monday.

The new peer-reviewed findings, released just as the UN released its sixth "Assessment Report" (AR6), was published in the international scientific journal Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Nearly two dozen scientists concluded that previous studies did not adequately consider the role of solar energy in explaining increased temperatures.

Nothing is accomplished without compromise either. Trying to get the government to force what partisans think would help isnt how any meaningful change will happen. That's just how authoritarianism and human rights abuses happen.

How many people demanding the government take more money and power from the people actually live an eco conscious lifestyle? From what I've seen.....not many.

Nothing will ever change for the better without a degree of unity and willingness to compromise. So until people are more willing to foster that, it's just going to continue devolving.

We have to have more honesty involved in these conversations and less hysterics and blame.

I spent a month and a half with my GF. She lives in the Alexander Valley near Healdsburg. They depend on water rights from the Russian River. This year many of the Vintners have been banned from this resource. The fire danger may turn out to be worse, come September and October

Lovely, so picturesque.

global warming still a hoax.

Our official meteorological bureau regularly boosts the temperatures 4-6 degrees Celsius warmer in their records.

Other day they said it was 9 degrees Celsius... it was 4 degrees. They've been doing this for years while screaming global warming.
