It turns out that I can skate faster than ex-NHLers that are 10 years younger than me. That is the thing about over-doing it like having to push yourself hard at the professional level - you do permanent damage to your body.
With physical/sporting activity, like so many things, it is best to keep a good balance: Do not over-do it like professional athletes as it can cause permanent damage; do not be a weak, do-nothing pansy-boy like you Senile @Joe as it is gay; be just like me where I do not over-do it so I always enjoy the sports I play while also not doing permanent damage to my body so I can continue to play for decades.
