Not that it's the same as running a forum but I've run several troll/flame sections in my years,so I'll give you my advice.

Unless you are planning on gathering in a circle and singing kumbaya to each other, then not wanting certain posters there because you deem them to be (insert your opinion) is a mistake.You say you don't want cross forum drama as well,so what are your members going to do ?

The fundamentals of these types of forums means that somebody has to be the `heel`(the bad guy/girl).If you don't have that then eventually people will get bored and post where they can get some entertainment(we post on these kind of boards because we all love acting like morons).Take this place as an example.When Lilly is posting then this place is busy as fuck and ticks along nicely.When she doesn't, then it runs at a crawl.Love her or hate her,she does create traffic.Poofers forum was the same.Bland acted as the bad guy and it was busy all the time people were going at him.When he left the posts dried up and the forum died.

When me and Gayyity have run our sub-forums together it works because he's the cool,calm,collected one,and I'm the power mad nut job that pissed everyone off.Basicallly,if you don't want cross forum drama then you have to have a bad guy.
