Have you not noticed all the hate, destruction, and murdering that has been going on here in the states lately? They are walking up to 5 year old whites kids and blasting them in the head. Its gotten insane.
Yes, that is exactly what we are noticing from our distance in Europe. For years now it's getting worse and worse. Under Obama some things actually were going better and then Dickhead Trump came to break everything down again and even getting below the level of BEFORE Obama.

But - to get a bit back on the subject- don't you think that those kids would not be killed if there were less weapons? Having a weapon allows you to kill for good, but also for bad. Every insane idiot (mentally ill) person van buy a gun and use it. Your first crime is it easy to get a gun, because you can just go to Walmart. Only after you have been convicted more strict rules are applied to you.

Just for you liberal, anti-2nd ammendment, abolish guns bullshitters.....ALL OF YOU CAN KISS MY SOUTHERN ASS!!!!!

That looks like pretty scary stuff. Especially the bottom one.

How do you make sure the kids do not get hold of these?

Gun locks/gun safe. My children know not to touch a gun when they see it because they have been taught. Guns also have a safety on them (a button or a switch) to prevent it from firing when the trigger is pulled. The best thing you can do with children is teach them. Knowledge is power and if you start at an early age you don't end up with "curious" kids. They already know everything about it so there's nothing to be curious about.

Kids, especially when they get to a certain age called puberty, will find holding a gun very cool. Or just a 5 year old that is curious. They can be taught so much, but there is always the risk they will play with a gun if it is within their reach.
And if you lock it, then it is useless to use for protection, because before you get hold of it it might be already too late.

Home invasions during the day probably don't happen as often as they do at night if the person is home. Most burglars wait until the house is empty to intrude. During the day, my gun is accessible to me. It is locked (there is a safety on the gun that prevents it from firing). In some cases you have to pull the slide back to load the bullet in the chamber. Neither one of my children are strong enough to cock a gun. That is the 2nd safety feature on a gun. They can't pull the slide. I don't leave my gun in my children's sight during the day but they know if they see it not to touch it. It is within my reach, though. I can "see" someone coming at me during the day. So the gun is placed in an area, safety on where I can access it easily if need be. At night when my children are sleeping, it is under MY pillow in my room- safety off- locked and loaded. At night time its different because it's difficult to see the intruder which makes it all the more dangerous. That's why I don't take the time to pull the slide back....or leave my safety on. It's ready to go. Different situations- different scenarios. At night time- with me- its less likely you will live....during the day I can see you and more than likely disarm your ass before you fuck with me or my kids. I won't shoot someone in the back UNLESS they are running towards one of my children. If they run out the door of my house I let them go and call 911 if they haven't been called already. Then I let the police handle it.

Are you not scared that the one "invading" is just your drunk neighbour that tries to open the wrong door? Or one of your kids?

If you come towards me and I know you don't have a weapon I won't shoot to kill on the first attempt but you WILL get shot somewhere to bring you down. If you keep advancing, I will shoot to kill because that let's me know you will stop at nothing to try and hurt or kill me. I will drop your ass like flies on shit. No problem.
Why do you make it so personal that you want to shoot me? :'-(
I will do you no harm.

Lol I was using it as a reference....not that I'd actually shoot you....kinda 3rd person. I'm not worried about ever shooting one of my kids. I would never do that. If perhaps my child did wake up in the middle of the night and come in my room meddling or messing with things I would know it was them. I don't just wake up and start shooting. I do take a few seconds to evaluate the situation prior to playing Annie Oakley. If my son or daughter ever decides they want to sleep with me I always FEEL them get into my bed. I would move my pistol from under my pillow and place it at the very edge of my bed between my mattress on the side I am sleeping on. I assure you, I take every precautionary measure and assess every situation prior to pulling the trigger. My rifle is semi-automatic and no, it's not an assault rifle. Most people think AR stands for assault rifle but it doesn't.
It stands for "Arma-lite Rifle". Some leftist and anti-gun degenerates call it an assault rifle and giving it a bad name without educating themselves prior to their dumb ass assumptions and insinuations.

Oke, I trust that you are using your gun in a responsible manner, but what about all the other people in the US? EVERYONE can have a gun and apparently MOST people have one. This means that also the "less intelligent" will have a gun. Those people will not clean/maintain it on a regular basis. They will leave the gun on the coffee table while they are at work. Their kids are not educated, because of the simle fact that they are not capable to educate their kids and don't even think about it.

You are probably not the big risk of accidents, but what about those people?

I understand your point of view and I respect it. Let's take this to a different level. Let's say that all guns are illegal. You can't own one whether you're a criminal or not. Doesn't matter the circumstances. Now, what happens to the people that use their gun as a tool to hunt their food? People that don't go to the supermarket for their food? Do they just starve because guns aren't allowed? You see, there are more "good" reasons to own a gun than there are bad. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. Example: you think all guns should be banned because of the BAD side of things. Does that mean that the GOOD side is expendable because of the bad? Like the bad overrides the good? If you take guns away, criminals will find another way to obtain them or find other means to hurt/kill someone with a different weapon. The gun is irrelevant because it is a diverse tool. People use knives, baseball bats, a crowbar, etc. to get the job done. I'd rather get shot to death than beaten in the head or stabbed multiple times. That's a stupid thing to say but there's some logic to what I'm saying. A gun is somewhat "merciful" when it comes to killing vs. using other weapons that can cause prolonged suffering (more than likely). I would rather not die at all or be put in that situation. So should we ban ALL tools that are used as "weapons" because bad shit can happen with them? No. We need those tools. A gun is a TOOL used as a weapon. A knife is a TOOL used as a weapon. A crowbar, machete, baseball bat, bow, etc. are all TOOLS that can be used as weapons. It doesn't mean we should take them away because of the risk of harm they could cause when in the hands of the wrong people.

This Dutch idiot seems to think he knows sooooo much about guns but he doesn't know squat.

I'm sure if he was a farmer he would let a fox kill all of the chickens in the hen house. Or perhaps if he was a rancher he would let grizzlies and cougars kill all of his newborn calves and lambs.

Wild game including moose, elk and deer fed us when we were growing up but no....guns are bad and people who have guns are bad.

Unfuckingbelieveable.

How did you aquire all this knowledge about me?

Maybe just a lack of valid arguments? This is so pypical american; you do not have arguments, so you start accusing the other person with imaginary stuff. Maybe I an demented? Oh, or maybe I am a criminal. Let's check my record if I ever had a traffic violations. because that surely would make me unreliable....

Come on! Let's be adults and stick with the topic.

You take it pretty far into the extreme, but sure you are allowed to do that. I just think that we did not really understand each other, but that is also my fault.

I do not want to ban guns completely. That WOULD be stupid. Guns exist and we need some people on "our side" that own the guns and know how to use these.
I just have the opinion that not EVERYONE should be able to own a gun. I also kow it was not intended like that, that is an incorrect explanation of the 2nd amendment (marketing stunt from the NRA / large gun manufacturers).

I think that guns should be owned by trained professionals if it regards prevention & stopping of criminals. That would be the police, FBI, army, etc.
Next to this professional usage of guns, there is also the recreational part. Yes, shooting guns is also a sport. But why not keep the guns intended for sports at the shooting range? In a safe locker, only to be opened by the rightful owner. That person should also be trained in usage of a gun and its maintenance.
Hunting, another valid useage of guns. But again the person having the gun should be trained. Also this is another kind of weapons. You can still kill with it, but -as you said- there are other options like knifes also. The persons that have guns for hunting can also store their weapons in a safe location, for example a shooting range.

Certain types of weapons should be only available for the professionals: army, police, etc.
Personal gun ownership can be valid, but only in a safe way and only for the people who are mentally stable enough, not a criminal, adult, etc. And the gun should be kept out of reach of kids.

That is my OPINION. This is based on how we do it here where I live. I know this works, but I also know that getting there from where america is now is a long long way to go. But that is not a reason to not do anything and let innocent people die.
A good first step would be to have a better screening of people that want to have a gun and not simply allow everyone. Let's first proof that that person can handle a gun in an adult and safe way.
Do you not follow the rules? Then you loose the right to own a gun. No valid use for it? No gun! Do we find out you let kids play with it? No gun! You want to buy an automatic gun? Sorry, those are for the pro's.

Why do you feel you have to have a badge to own a gun. I know some of the best SNIPERS that aren't a part of the military, FBI or any government agency for that matter. You don't need to be a professional to know how to responsibly use a gun. Sometimes people with CWP's actually SAVE LIVES in a public setting. For example: a man that LEGALLY owns a gun is shopping inside a store. Two armed robbers come in and try to hold folks hostage or rob the place. By law and his legal right, the man that has a CWP (concealed weapons permit) can pull his weapon to defend himself and other people in that store. The only exception to this are places that have signs that say "no concealed weapons allowed". In this case, only law enforcement is allowed to enter in any location with a gun. People go through a screening process here to own a gun. You can't just go in a store/pawn shop and buy a gun without going through a process, first. Criminals aren't allowed to legally own guns depending on the crime they were convicted of. Example: if you go to jail because you didn't pay your child support, you can still own a gun because that's not a violent crime. If you go to jail for criminal domestic violence, your "legal" gun owning days are over. It varies but it's fair. I do agree with you when you say people with mental instabilities shouldn't own a gun.

That is correct, but there is also not a valid reason to have it. Ergo, they should not have it.

What do you imagine will happen? I think he will kill the robbers in the best scenario. Who is he to kill people without them being convicted by a judge in a legal trial?
The other thing that can happen is that the robbers will kill people in their attempt to sve themselves.
And maybe even the guy that knows how to handle the gun, is not really up to the job due to the stress of the situation and he kills innocent people....
What about relying on the police to solve this? Those people are trained for the job.

The only exception to this are places that have signs that say "no concealed weapons allowed". In this case, only law enforcement is allowed to enter in any location with a gun.
That's not going to stop the criminals....

How does the screening look like? What do they check?

I do agree with you when you say people with mental instabilities shouldn't own a gun.
There! At least we have accomplished that :-)

Nothing is going to stop a criminal from obtaining a gun. I do know that "availability" plays a major role in whether or not they will obtain one but we all know they can. You can strip guns from the hands of every American citizen, military, government agency, etc....and there will always be those who store them away somewhere....the black market...etc. It won't stop even if you take drastic measures to make it happen. It's possible but HIGHLY improbable. In order to obtain a firearm you have to be of legal age. They do an extensive criminal background check. As long as you meet certain criteria, you may own a gun with or without a cwp. A cwp gives you permission to conceal it on your person (body). You can leave a gun in the dash or middle console of your vehicle if going out in public or driving with one. You CANNOT store it under the seat of your car. If you get pulled over in a traffic stop and try to reach for it just to let the officer know you have it, will get your ass shot. Thats why it stays in your dash or middle console. If the officer asks for your registration (and they always do) and if its in the dash, you tell the officer there is a gun in your dash BEFORE you open it. He will then ask if its loaded.. if it is (and mine usually is) I always tell the cop I would rather him take it out before I reach for my registration. This keeps ME safe. Common sense plays a big role in all of this. There are gun racks that can be mounted in your vehicle for rifles. Most cwp's don't carry rifles but some do. I don't think you can carry it out in public though because that pretty much defeats the purpose of it being "concealed". You can leave one in your vehicle, though.

Wow... life with a gun is very complicated and actually very dangerous. The police can shoot you just for reaching to a gun and I understand why: their life is at risk. Can you imagine how easy it is to just be able to rude a car, do a alcohol test every now and then, and not being afraid the cop will shoot you? That is my life... I'll blow in the machine, he thanks me, comcludes that I am not so stupid that I drove with alcohol in my blood and we wish eachother a good day / evening / weekend / whatever :-)

Still, you keep mentioning the extensive background checks, but what more is it then checking for a criminal past?

If you shoot some one even in your home you must prove that your life was in danger so if some one is climeing out your window better pull there ass back in and blast away - - - - - -

Or maybe respect human a life? You can let him go and let the insurance pay for the damage and the police get the bad guy

That's very true because that happened to an elderly lady that went ham on a burglars ass trying to break into her home. He was halfway in her home through the window and the lower half of his body was hanging out the window. She shot and killed his ass and SHE WENT TO JAIL!!! Thay's another reason I won't shoot someone in the back. If they're running, they're scared and the intent to do harm reduces drastically.

I'm new here and usually eschew gun fondler threads, but this post caught my attention. I've never had a Tokarev pistol but I've burnt up a few thousand rounds of 7.62 x 25 in my CZ-52. I love lighting it up in an indoor range where I'm not known, cuz all the hangers-on will come flying back there to see wtf they are hearing. Once upon a time I had a C96 Mauser and my range buddy had a couple of 7.62 Lugers so I've shot all 3 variants of the .30 gooseneck pistol cartridge. I like the CZ best because of that lovely roller bearing lockup, lifted from Schmeisser as in the HK P9S. Plus, the CZ is a rock. Never had a hiccup from it, and I've fed it just about everything.

Yes sir the 7.62x25 is a snappy round. It only shoots an 85 gr. pill but I believe the velocity is right up around 1700 fps. I like the Russian copper wash surplus ammo the best. It's cheap, very reliable but a bit dirty but then all surplus ammo is dirty. The worst ammo I shot was the Czech surplus on 8 round stripper clips. I'd have at least one failure to feed in every mag I shot.
As for the Toks they are a fun little gun with a lot of history behind them altho not that accurate.
I'd love to see this round chambered in a little carbine such as the M1 or even the Ruger PCC.
On a side note the 7.62x25 put a lot of Nazi bastards in thier graves.:rightON:
