The democrats pine for the days when they were the opposition party; no real power and therefore no real responsibilities. They could lazily fund-raise off fearmongering the republican majority and pull their performative stunts knowing they wouldn't even be expected to actually *do* anything.
It seems they're actively maneuvering to get back into that position.
Despite their hollow platitudinous pablum they don't really care about "serving the people"; they only serve themselves and their donors. That's a lot easier to do when they're not being pressured to literally govern.
They may publicly bemoan the fates for ejecting them from power but in private it'll be all high-fives and huge sighs of relief.

They honestly want to push the evil ideology of equal outcomes no matter how little or much effort people put into it or if they make good or bad choices in life. They call this "equity". Equal opportunity is a great thing but equal outcomes is the most destructive and evil idea ever come up by man.

Oregon Democraps are a special kind of stupid. Oregon Democraps want to let illegal squatters sue landowners for "harassment" if they tell them to stop trespassing on their property. That is right. Drug addicts get to illegally squat on your land but you aren't allowed to tell them to leave.
