Well before the flood the world was a very different place and it was one giant landmass. There were no separate continents....just one big chunck of land. Water shot up from the ground everywhere.

Also all the animals that DID need to be an on the ark have probably changed ....you know that micro evolution.

Really all Noah had to do was build the ark and God sent the animals. Probably took a lot of them a few years to get to the ark. I think it took Noah 100 years just to build it.
