Billy AND his band are fucking SICK. They can play straight 'grass all day long but they're totally at home metallizing it, and it's so good you have to wonder why no one ever thought to do it sooner. Phrygian mode and Phrygian Dominant account for probably a third of decent metal, most of the rest is Aeolian with a flat 2 so it's nearly the same thing.

Molly Tuttle can (and has) shared the stage with him and jammed straight 'grass but she doesn't play metal. She is also an amazing talent, and there are lots of other young people coming into their own in that style of acoustic music. But there's only one Billy so far.
