I also worked as a ghost for Chapters-Indigo (the Canadian version of Barnes & Noble, for you Muricans); the only people I ever caught with goods they "forgot to pay for" once out the door were older, White, well off ladies who couldn't be arsed to pay for a book or a trinket or who took a secret pleasure in contributing to the store's half a million dollar yearly shrinkage.
Bad example.
Blacks do not read books.
No, they write them...
Their Eyes Were Watching God, Native Son, Invisible Man, Go Tell It On the Mountain, Babel-17, Roots, Kindred, The Color Purple, Beloved, The Known World, Sing Unburied Sing, to name but a few.
These books are intended for smart people so you can be excused for not being familiar with them.
Wow. You almost came up with a whole dozen.
BTW, this is the guy who wrote The Invisible Man.
