They dont teach fuck all on that, really. I've had to supplement my older daughters. So far I'm home schooling Squish.

And this kid.....shes already reading at grade 1 level. Her writing is improving. And we do science. Public school kinder doesnt do science. We have done dissections(jelly mold animals....its really cool) and I have owl pellets on the way.

She does life skills, a lot of sensory learning and I teach her math with games. She gets to learn about health and her body. And her vocabulary impresses people.

I was really hestitant about doing it, but shes ahead of where she would be if I were sending her to school.

We have her in a martail arts class as well just for the added physical activity and discipline.

I'm taking it a year at a time but so far I love it more than I thought I would lol. We are also pretty picky on who she socializes with and we can teach her good boundaries and what to do if someone is mean to her. She wont have to be plunged into a large socail situation at school were she could feel insecure and like an outcast when other kids are fucking pricks to her.

The bullying that goes on in public schools is horrific. And nothing ever gets done about it.

I didn't get a whole lot of that in my k-12 years of schooling. Once in a while a comment was dropped, but for the most part it was traditional education, the 3 r's if you will...

I worked with a colleague in my office who worked for the State Dept of Public Health who were crafting the legislation for comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education for the California public schools. There is no state sponsored education that discusses anything beyond the biological facts.

I did talks in high schools, and had one boy tell me to my face that there were no consequences for most men when they didn't use condoms. I simply asked the boy if he'd considered child support. He scowled at me. Clearly he hadn't thought that through.

Another issue which I believe should be brought up in sex education classes is online sexual harassment and it's consequences.

Some middle aged guy informed me that a teen boy was harassing his daughter on the internet . So he was in the process of getting the police involved.

I mean young boys need to be informed that this sort of behavior is not acceptable and carries with it serious consequences.

That's why legal responsibility that goes along with sexual function should be taught as well. To disuadE that kind of behavior

These are not innocent boys who dont know any better. They are bullies with no proper boundaries or respect for others. My own daughter was sexually harrassed at school by older boys and nothing was done about it. It was so bad I pulled her out of school and made a police report.
