Took my truck to the dealers for a service/oil change today.. When I went to pay the bill the guy said "no charge and have a Merry Christmas" I said thank you and a Merry Christmas to you too.

They treat me pretty good there but then I've been dealing with them since 1980 and they know me well.:rightON:

You don't get treats like that from the big greedy bastard companies...

This dealership has been run by the same family since the 1960s and they know that if they treat their customers right then they will come back and I will shop there again. Sometimes living in a small remote town has it's perks.

I randomly wonder why people buy really expensive vehicles but can't afford to repair scrapes, dings, or moderate collisions to them after weeks or months down the road.

I see this with my neighbours...

European vehicles but they go for months unrepaired or never.

I bought my latest vehicle at a 10k discount because it was mid range... and it's widely serviced with heaps of parts on the market.

I think that a lot of people pay through the nose to look fly for 3-5 years and then shit their financial beds if they have to make a claim.
