Article unclear, were there actually no drag queens or transpersons behind all this?I live just there, many years ago.
. How the place must have changed.
Of course even then one could sense it's deterioration from what must have been its halcyon days.
.The changing times and what was to come.

Different times.
Yes - even then, as I say - one could certainly sense it.The times, they are a-changing.
Grade School was my best 10 years, those were the days my friends we thought they'd never end.Yes - even then, as I say - one could certainly sense it.
It was more than just the ephemeral day to day...but a high point reached then a descent with only longing for its passing. No re-ascent.
You are right if you think it was the briefest bright moment in time.
It seems that often 10 years is all we get of those best of times. Then only long decline.
Santa Methica? lol that’s what the politicos coined it as they try to WOW us with their sheit plans to fix this epidemic.
We were crossing at Ocean Ave to get to a restaurant right near the pier and were downwind from someone who smelled worse than fermented feet *gags just thinking about it*
The pier traffic is wild. I would not walk around there without him.
