A drink but drinks count as food, right? I' sitting out in the patio drinking an Angry Orchard hard cider. It is a bit to sweet for my tastes but it is too early for wine and I didn't feel like a beer. Honestly, if I am going to drink hard cider than Hunter's Dry hard Cider from South Africa is my go to but my local store doesn't sell it. My wife buys the Angry Orchard for herself; that and some pear cider. I think that is Ace brand Pear Cider.

We had one of the rolled marinated beef roasts in the vacuum packs from woollies... pitiful how much gristle and fat were hidden in it.

Never again...

Hunter’s Dry is often sold in South African stores. Grab a case there and some gem squash while you’re at it.

A knob of real butter, salt and black pepper then wrapped in bacon and fried... Heavenly...

"Real butter", what do you use for butter these days?

Personally I think certain brands of butter have changed in the past year. They hardly even melt. Mess up my stomach more too. I usually use Country Crock tubs, and Land O Lakes sticks.

I live in the northeast uk... We're spoiled for local produce here so real butter comes from here... Not the crap in the supermarkets... ;)

I hate how THEY allow so much crap in our food here. In other countries a lot of those bad ingredients are banned.

Country Crock is margarine not real butter. Personally, I usually buy Kerry Gold Irish butter as it has a high butter fat content and lower water content compared to most American butters. That means it spreads very smoothly and has a nice creamy flavor.

My favourite supermarket butter is Lurpak... It carries more flavour than anything I've tried and the price reflects it...

I didnt know CC was margarine. That explains it.

I've seen Kerry Gold, the secretary mentioned it. I'll give it a try!
